My keyboard will not type but when i push media ect. it will bring up programs the mouse works and i followed instructions on back of keyboard.

I'd try to change the USB port where the receiver is connected. If this "new" port was not used yet, the windows will (re)install the drivers to make the device works in the USB port. If this doesnt work, provide us more detais (model of keyboard, e.g.)

Microsoft Laser Mouse 5000 stopped working altogether

Make sure the batteries are good and then follow these instructions.

Normal 0 Press the Receiver button (and the lights will start flashing.
Then if the Keyboard isn't working, press the small RESET/CONNECT button on the back of the board to connect the keyboard to the receiver.

If the MOUSE isn’t working, push the small RESET/CONNECT button on the back of the mouse to connect to the receiver. Then they should work okay.

How do I open the receiver for my wireless mouse to replace batte

The receiver is plugged into a USB port and doesn't use batteries. The keyboard and mouse use batteries and they need to be replaced ever so ofter. to do so, follow thes instructions.
Normal 0 Are your batteries in the Keyboard and mouse good?

Press the Receiver button (and the lights will start flashing, then if its the Keyboard isn't working, press the small RESET/CONNECT button on the back of the board to connect.

If the MOUSE isn't working, do the same except push the small RESET?CONNECT button on the back of the mouse to connect. Then they should work properly. Hope this helps. Bud

Thing just won't work.

After starting up the computer with the wireless receiver, keyboard and mouse attached,, (with good batteries in both) install the CD software program and thenif it doesn't work follow these instructions:

None of my Keys are working

Did you install the CD software program that came with your keyboard and mouse?

If you did try the following:

My ex110 combo came without any instructions, how do I at least get started?

Did you put batteries in both units before connecting the Receiver to a USB port?
Then did you use the CD software program that came with the keyboard and mouse and install the program?
After doing the install the following info will help to make them operational.

Then if the Keyboard isn't working, press the small RESET/CONNECT button on the back of the board to connect the keyboard to the receiver.
