Only just bought a gaggia titanuim on the wend i do hope nothing goes wrong with it after reading all the reviews, it is not good what i have read, i wish now i had of looked into it more.

Yes the disc reading problem on the PS3 is massive!

Let me run through what is going on and how you can fix it:

Cause:

It is the laser that needs readjusting in order to fix this problem. The good news is that the drive will still work as long as you readjust the laser in most cases - so you don't need to replace the drive!

Solution:

You can send it in for Repair and they will fix it for you - although this will cost about $150 in a repair bill and you can expect to wait for about 4 weeks to get your console back.

Quicker Solution:

It is possible to fix the PS3 games reading error from home because as mentioned above all you are doing is readjusting the laser.

try turning the nozzles the other way - they should turn counter clockwise when looking from the top, not clockwise.

you need to upgrade you firmware & put ISO/CSO files in ISO folder

it seems that you have fallen victim to the totally not awsum wickedness of what I think is a dirty laser lens.
I know that youtube.com has many great vids telling you exactly how to clean your ps3 laser lens and get your system up and running again.

I read in a review that the pan can warp if you read instructions because it said to fist run the machine in quick bread mode to clear factory coating. Review said to run in quick bread mode with lid open so it doesn't overheat, heat warps the pan, so it pops out . However manuel never mentions to leave lid open. I just got one and hope they are right. I just ran it new no ingredients quick bread lid open...

I just bought a broken Carezza for my office (and hacking)-- the owner said the power switch only worked when he held it down hard.

Taking it apart, the main power switch-- a DPDT automotive-style unit-- is broken on one pole-- the wire connectors are slightly melted and darkened, and the switch has melted, discolored plastic around the metal tabs.

A new switch should bring it back to life, and I'll install a removable power cord and 15A fuse for niceness/safety-- the switch is rated for 20A at 125VAC so shouldn't have fried.
