These sets rarely shut down from dust. Chances are that the Temp sensor has failed. It is located on top of the lamp housing on the Light Engine. To test this you must locate the temp sensor and short with a test lead or wire across the two terminals and make sure the interlock switch is held in the up position, then turn on the set and see what happens. If the set stays on then the temp sensor is bad. If the set still shuts down then and goes straight to "Stand By" the you have a bad power supply. Make sure you have a good Lamp installed as this can cause the same symptom.

I have determined mine is a bad temp sensor, but I cannot find the part on-line. Any suggestions?

My AKIRS tv model -LCT-26MTO5ST.WHEN ITS ON PICHURE AND SOUND HAVE ,SUDDENL 5 TO 7 MINUTES ITS TURNS OFF ITS SELF.WHEN THEN ON BACK IT WILL OFF IN FEW SECONDS, WHAT SHOULD I DO? HELP ME SOLVE IT HOW?

I am not familiar with your model of TV, BUT.... the symptoms you describe suggest that the device is OVERHEATING INSIDE, and a safety function is shutting it down UNTIL it cools enough to eliminate the safety hazard.

IF that's the situation, the CAUSE WILL NOT correct itself, and requires the services of a QUALIFIED Television TECHNICIAN!!!!!

To continue to use the TV without correcting he overheating problem will eventually result in self-destruction of the TV, AND POSSIBLY A FIRE!!!!!

Get it properly repaired by a professional technician NOW!!!!!

How do i fix an 08 panasonic plasma tv,it will work perfect for a few hours but then goes back to green highlights,i have pics. I

It sounds like it's overheating. If you can put a small electric fan behind it and see if that fixes the problem.
My plasma has a regular box fan behind it to cool it off.

When I turn on the TV, the DVD player has always made a sound as though it was being activated. It would cycle for a few moments (like it was looking for the DVD) and then the sound would stop. But...

You kneed to replace the DVD Deck. Very easy, just a couple of screws on the side and pull the deck out. When you pull the deck out, if there is a cable connected to it, you will need to take the back off and disconnect the cable. Some models have it and some don't.

I have a Viore RPT50V24DX/SMS TV, That just turns off after a few minutes. When it's on it's nearly perfect, but then it quits. The cooling fan is running, and there's not much dust inside. Any Ideas?

A: Check clearances for proper ventilation, as overheating can occur even with the fans running. B: If A checks out then replace the lamp as it is in failure mode. They do not usually just all of a sudden fail. They give symptoms such as this.

Computer restart continously

sounds like could be a overheating problem, is there a fan running inside the machine, is it full of dust, check carefully around the fan, cpu, heat sink that there isn't large build up. if there is get some canned air to blow it all away.

Samsung TV Turns off after a few seconds red and green light flas

You are going to have to troubleshoot all the boards in the television until you find the problem. Start with power supply board. This part usually goes bad due to overheating and faulty components. You must check for brown spots on the boards , that are signs of overheating. Look for bad components like bulging capacitors and burnt resistors.Look for bad connections, like cold solder joints. you must be very careful working on the power supply board as it does have high voltages they can be very dangerous to the inexperienced user. Never test anything with the power on or connected.Use anti static protection straps and gloves around all the chips and microprocessors to avoid damaging them. Check all the other boards for the same problems. If you can find no problems, Then it is time to get help from a service center where they will have all the necessary testing equipment, To give the unit a more thorough testing for faulty components.Hope this helps you with your problem.
