You are going to have to troubleshoot all the boards in the television until you find the problem. Start with power supply board. This part usually goes bad due to overheating and faulty components. You must check for brown spots on the boards , that are signs of overheating. Look for bad components like bulging capacitors and burnt resistors.Look for bad connections, like cold solder joints. you must be very careful working on the power supply board as it does have high voltages they can be very dangerous to the inexperienced user. Never test anything with the power on or connected.Use anti static protection straps and gloves around all the chips and microprocessors to avoid damaging them. Check all the other boards for the same problems. If you can find no problems, Then it is time to get help from a service center where they will have all the necessary testing equipment, To give the unit a more thorough testing for faulty components.Hope this helps you with your problem.

Mitsubishi dlp tv model wd-62627 wont power on when i plug tv in green light flas then will stop then i try to power on tv after after green light stops flashiing after oabout 30 sec red lamp light co

Inspect the lamp first to see if shattered--set has a self check feature also:

Mitsubishi TVtroubleshooting
Here's something that might also be useful. After you turn on the set, and getthe regular red blinky lights, hold down the Device and Menu buttons togetherfor about 5 seconds.
The Power light will start to flash in a two digit sequence.
For example, 3 flashes, then 7 flashes = 37.
Here are the error codes, and the corresponding problem:
12 = No error detected, check power supply.
32 = Lamp Cover is open.
33 = Air filtercover is open.
34 = Lamp abnormality
36 = Light Engine (DMD or Lamp Fan stopped)
37 = Exhaust or Lamp Ballast Fan stopped
38 = Lamp Temperature High
39 = DMD Temperature High
41 = Short is detected
44 = DVI cablebetween FMT and Engine disconnected

A possible bad lamp if not replaced recently or removed and at least examined. What is model number and what have you tried so far?

Tv won't turn on. It blinks green then red.

Hi,
Question shows tv is Sony KDF-60WF655.
Green light blinks when tv gets prepare to fire up lamp, check internal circuits then show picture on front screen.
Red light blinking shows some kind of internal problem during circuit check and protection got activated upon some failure.
Count the red light blink as you will see 3 second long pause and post it here to diagnose what section of tv got problem.
Did you replaced its lamp in last 2-3 years?
Thanks.

Lamp light turns red

Yes this is the signal for a bad lamp. Other things can cause this. 1. Look at the new lamp. make sure it still looks good. not broken with little glass pieaces in it. 2. When you turn on the tv, put your ear to the lower back part of the tv near the middle. Listen for the start up of the color wheel (a low high pitch sound only at the start up of the motor). If this is good you will here a ticking sound only if the lamp dose not light.

Now with all this info. If the lamp lights (as seen from the back of the set) and goes out after a few seconds and you did not here the color wheel spin up, the color wheel is bad.

If you here the color wheel spin up and no ticking sound, the Ballast is bad.

The ballast part no. 939P978010

The color wheel is not avialable from Mits. You will have to replaced the light engine. It cost to much. Just buy a new tv.

Green flashes then tv turns off

or a new lamp. you could first replace the lamp.
the screen might work fine for a couple of seconds, but then it fades away or deteriorates. This means the lamp is going bad.
