New cyan cartridge not printing. Have run a nozzle clean and still not working. Is recognised as a Epson genuine and as a full cartridge. Is there a way of cleaning a single print head?

I'm suggesting the forum below. Have great suggestions on cleaning print heads and pads.

Did you use Epson Genuine Cartridges? ALL…. Epson & Brother Requires Genuine Cartridges. !!!!!!!!
In Purchasing Epson's CX 5400, CX4600, & CX7400 and more, I found out that Epson does not like Generic Printer Cartridges. I also Purchased a Brother MFC-240C All-In-One InkJet Printer. That also does not like Generic Print Cartridges. Color that should be Yellow, will turn out Green, Blue Brown, etc.

These printers have a CHIP that will detect if it is Generic or Genuine. When they see it’s Generic Cartridges, it will print lines thru the words, stripes across the picture and also do a mix match with the colors. It also will not let you print anything, if only one of the cartridges is empty.

I wanted to print only Black, and would not let me, because I did not have any ink in one of my cyan cartridges. Go figure.

That's what these Companies do., so they can keep selling the ink cartridges. Some Printers, are able to use Generic, and some are refillable. Some you can refill them up yourself and I heard, quite MESSY.

So I learned, thru trial and error, that you must use the ORIGINAL Genuine Cartridges for these PRINTERS. Some people say some models work fine compatible, but not mine.......

I had to replace the printer, but Epson, Lexmark & Brothers are always on sale. My Brother & Epson cost me $50.00 with Rebate. .

This is the only advice I can give you.

The next step would be to disassemble the Epson, and clean the Pads/Heads. Click on link below.:

I located a page on http://www.fixyourownprinter.com forum, which had plenty of details about similar issues.

If you find this helpful, pls rate me.

Thanks and Good Luck :0)

One of my cartridges does not work

Start out by running a "nozzle check" in the printer setup screens. If the cyan isn't printing a full pattern, then do a "clean" pass, up to 3 times. If three times doesn't fix the missing color pattern, it's possible that the cart is defective, and isn't flowing ink.

Epson Sx415 New Cartridge,empty already?!?!

1. New original ink tank will dried for several times of head cleaning procedure.

. ....ran a nozzle check and cleaned print heads because it wasn't printing any ink on the paper.... ???
Nothing at all? If yes, problem is in the printer main board. Lost electricity to the head.

I just replaced my ink cartridges for my Epson Workforce 600 printer and the magenta and yellow colors do not print. The status shows that both are still full of ink, but when I do the nozzle check,...

Try "Nozzle cleaning" and if the problem persist, try "Deep nozzle cleaning". Try them only once or else the ink will run out very quickly.
If the ink cartridges are not genuine Epson, remove them and buy genuine cartridges. If needed, repeat the procedure with them.
Non-original consumables very often clog the printhead.

IF YOU ARE USING GENERIC CARTRIDGES, MAYBE IT WOULD BE BETTER IF YOU DISABLE THE INK MONITOR.

This is the only advice I can give you.

Cyan cartridge prints spotty.

Your print head is probably clogged. If you have already tried the cleaning cycle, it's time to take the printer into an Epson repair center to find out what the problem is. More than likely they will have to replace the print head.

Not printing

The printer determines the amount of ink left in the cartridge by counting the number of ink "shots" when printing, head cleaning etc. This information is stored in the "chip" on the cartridge. Thus, it is not an actual measurement of the ink left, but an estimate calculated by subtracting the total shots from the original full ink quantity. This estimate can sometimes be grossly in error, usually due to a cartridge replacement not being carried out correctly. However, for all four cartridges to be suddenly out of ink is odd. The cheapest way to check this out is to buy a chip resetter on e-bay (currently one for sale at £3.25). Reset all your cartridges to "full", and see if the printer will now recognise them as full. If so, you can buy a new set OK. If the printer still says the cartridges are empty, post a new comment to this effect and we can provide further help.
