Toner is printing on right hand side of each page printed

It seems like a roller problem because the toner is only printing in 4 places down the right hand side of the page.

I changed the toner cartridge and the same thing happened.

Is it the drum?

Most likely it is the drum cartridge. The other causes such as toner on the laser optics would not produce an on again off again print area. It would be blank the entire way down the page. Since the toner prints in patches down the right side it means it is coming from something that is "rotating" and that narrows it down to the drum.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

Remove the toner/drum cartridge. If you can look up into the area above the toner cartridge with a flashlight, look for either dust on the laser glass or some other obstruction. Also check the transfer roller that lies just below the drum. Make sure that's clean with no damage to its sponge surface. DO NOT TOUCH IT WITH BARE HANDS!!! The oil from you skin will damage it. Most important thing to check: Look straight back to the rear of the printer without the cartridge in place. You should see an orange or red roller towards the back. That's the pressure roller for the fuser. Look with the flash light at the grey or light brown roller adjacent to that pressure roller. You said the right side is faded. Look at that right side of that roller. If there is any damage or foreign debris stuck on that side, and you can't clean it with cotton swabs and 91% Isopropol Alcohol, you probably will have to replace that fuser.

How do i clean the rollers

Introduction Your printer requires minimum routine maintenance. This chapter explains the following tasks
  • Cleaning the printer
  • The toner cartridge
  • Extending toner cartridge life
  • Clearing a TONER LOW message
  • Replacing printer parts
Cleaning the printer To maintain print quality, thoroughly clean your printer:
  • Every time you change the toner cartridge
  • After printing approximately 6,000 pages
  • Whenever print quality problems occur
Clean the outside of the printer with a lightly water-dampened cloth. Clean the inside with only a dry,lint-free cloth. Observe the warnings and cautions that follow the cleaning tasks on the following pages. Caution To avoid permanent damage to the toner cartridge, do not use ammonia-based cleaners on or around your printer.
Printer Cleaning Tasks Before you begin these steps, turn the printer OFF and unplug the power cord. Caution Do not touch the transfer roller (black sponge-rubber roller) with your fingers. Skin oils on the roller can cause print quality problems.
If toner gets on your clothes, wipe it off with a dry cloth and wash your clothes in cold water. Hot water sets toner into fabric.
Warning Avoid touching the adjacent fusing area. It may be HOT
  1. OPen the printer's top cover and remove the toner cartridge
  2. with a dry lint-free cloth, wipe any residue off the Paper Access Cover (it has a green handle) and the adjacent silver metal strip.
  3. Wipe any dust or dirt off the black plastic Paper Feed Guide with a dry, lint-free cloth.
The Toner Cartridge see the printed book pending update of this page Extending Toner Cartridge Life see the printed book pending update of this page Clearing the TONER LOW Message see the printed book pending update of this page User-Replaceable Parts Some worn parts can be replaced by the owner. See Chapter 8, "Solving Printer Problems", for descriptions of the difficulties that can indicate when to replace a part. Warning Switch OFF and unplug the printer before replacing parts. Failure to do so may result in personal injury or damage to the printer. After switching the printer OFF and unplugging the power cord, allow the printer to cool for 30 minutes before replacing the parts.
Unless specifically noted, replacement is the reverse of removal. Always carefully observe the position and alignment of the part you are removing; this is your best guide to replacement. Ordering Information User replaceable parts are available from the authorized HP dealer or from Hewlett-Packard. To order parts, see this information Multi-Purpose (MP) Tray Paper Pickup Roller and Separation Pad Before you begin these steps, turn the printer OFF and unplug th power cord.
  1. Open the Multi-Purpose (MP) Tray.
  2. Grasp the black plastic Envelope Feed Access Cover as shown, and pull it downward and toward you to remove it.
  3. Read all of this step before proceeding. Remove the pickup roller by pushing down on the plastic retaining clip with your right index finger (see inset A) while sliding the roller to the right with your left index finger. When the roller is partway to th right, push in on the small plastic tab (see inset B) behind the right end of the roller and fully remove it.
  4. Insert a flat-blade screwdriver into th indentation at the front of the separation pad and twist the screwdriver blade gently to loosen the pad see (inset). When loose, gently lift pad from its seat.
  5. To install a new separation pad, place it over the opening and press it down firmly with your forefinger to seat it. Be sure the metal edge is toward the front of the printer. To install a new Multi-Purpose (MP) Tray Paper Pickup Roller, slide it over the shaft, then rotate it so that the flat side of the new roller is aligned with the flat side of the shaft. Then slide th roller to the left until it clicks into place.
  6. Reinstall the black plastic Envelope Feeder Access Cover and discard the used roller and pad.
Paper Cassette Pickup Roller Before you begin these steps, turn the printer OFF and unplug th power cord.
  1. Remove the toner cartridge.
  2. Remove the Paper Cassette.
  3. place the printer on its left side so that the bottom of the printer is easily accessible.
  4. Remove the pickup roller by pinching the release clip and sliding the roller off the shaft (the new roller will be installed in the reverse order). Slip the new roller over the shaft and rotate it until properly aligned. Slide the roller along the shaft until it clicks into place.
  5. Place the printer upright, then place the toner cartridge, Paper Cassette, and power cord. Switch the printer ON.

Even after changing new cartridge my print out has black ink stain on page left and right

This is usually due to a dirty imaging drum roller (green roller below toner). Remove the toner / drum assembly, then separate the two. Now slowly rotate the imaging drum roller by hand using the gear on the side of the cartridge (Try not to not touch the drum roller with your hand, as oils from your skin may cause further problems + toner is nasty) Look for toner splotches to the left and right on the drum roller as you turn it. If you see any you can clean them off with a damp paper towel. Then reassemble the printer and hold the continue button down until you hear the printer start then release it; this will print a test page.. Hopefully that will take care of the issue. Also while you got the assembly out of the printer you can clean the glass print-head lens using a clean, dry, and lint free cloth. The print head lense is located within the recessed area in the top of the printer.

- I have seen that happen to a bunch of those printers and that is usually all it is. Let me know if that takes care of it.

My CLP-350 Samsung printer only prints black ink on half the page! While the other colours all print perfectly, the black ink prints strong and clear on the right side of the page but as you approach the...

Here is my solution, hope it will solve your problem.

From your post, I believe your CLP-350N printer has enough black toner. The black cartridge is on the far right side of the printer, so the black toner is harder to go to left side of the roller than right side. Everytime we start the printer, it will move some toner of each color to the roller before it shows ready to print.

Because we always use B&W printing when we start the printer, but less Color printing. The result is there are always enough toner on the 3 color rollers, but the black toner is lean on the black roller. When this gets worse, the left side of the black roller may hardly get any toner at all -- so it only print black on the right side fo paper.

Step by step solution
(CAUTION: Never loss balance while tilting printer! You may drop and damage your printer! Hold the printer firmly all the time! Ask someone to help you if needed!)

Here, front of the printer is where you can access the cartridge, back of the printer is where you connect the power cord and USB cable, left is your left, right is your right.

1.Lift the front to keep the printer tilt to its back at about 45 degree
2.Power on printer while it's tilted back, wait untill green light is on
3.Open the front door, red light will be on, then close the door, printer will start up again, wait untill green light is on
4.Repeat step 3 once again, then put the printer back to level position
5.Lift the right to keep the printer tilt to its left at about 45 degree
6.Open the front door, red light will be on, then close the door, printer will start up again, wait untill green light is on
7.Repeat step 6 once again, then put the printer back to level position
8.Print some test page to see if there is any improvement of black print quality.(Hold the printer button for 3-5 seconds, it will print the test page.)

You may try several times and print several pages each time before you finally cure the problem.

Good luck! And do it safely!

When printing, I see a vertical streak on the printed page, from top to bottom, about 2 1/4 inches from the left side of the paper, and about 1/16 of an inch wide. I can't seem to see what causes this. The...

This is more than likely down to the upper roller in the fuser assembly. It's the heat roller at the back of the printer. The upper roller wears so paper dust and toner stick to the roller which then can get deposited back on to the page.

Printer prints a line across the paper around three inch from the left hand side of the page.

Check your Toner Carts.
Is the line a certain color?
Black perhaps?

Lift the door of the toner cart.
If you see a streak on your toner drum, you will see a streak on your paperwork.

Look at your fuser as well.
Is there a problem with the big orange roller?
BEWARE! Don't touch the fuser roller its EXTREMELY HOT!
Let the printer cool down before inspecting.
