First you have to get the exact motherboard to replace it with. I don't mean the model number either. Open up the cover that has the RAM\Memory located inside. Carefully remove the RAM. Do you see a sticker on the motherboard that says "Replace with HP spare only"? Well, that sticker should also have a number on it, like: 433777-001, or something to that nature. Whatever that number is, you have to get a replacement motherboard with that exact number on it to be sure that it will fit and work properly in your laptop case. Go to ebay.com and type in the number you find for your motherboard. That is the one to get. I advise you to shy away from ordering a motherboard from China. It will take you at least 2 weeks to get the part and if they should happen to send you the wrong one, then you will have a big hassle sending it back for exchange.

Look on Craigs List or E-bay for a parts only edition of your computer ... or look for a new used computer at the same.
