It sounds very much like you have a poor connection within the monitor. It may even be the switch?
Check around the proximity of the switch and hopefully you will see either a poor connector or, what can best be described as, a black ring around a soldered joint causing the problem.

Tv has power but no picture on the screen

It sounds like your monitor just went bad. The reason you can still hear sound is because there is nothing wrong with your sound card. You can try connecting the monitor to another computer to see if it works. If it does not, then the monitor has died.

Check the power supply for 12 volts dc, it must provide at minimum 3 amps of power to trigger the on circuit. If not, replace the adapter... if you need one, please contact me.
