Reboot. Turn everything off. Important: unplug from electrical outlet. Power is still feeding into appliances when they are turned off. Wait 10-20 seconds. Plug everything back up and restart.

Try plugging into the Component Two jacks (down along the left side). I couldn't figure out mine either, so was resorting to unplugging and plugging in the game when I wanted to play. I had the DVD in those jacks originally. Now the TV is stuck, not responding to either the remote or it's own buttons (except off and on), so we are switching 3 different types of entertainment in the same jacks. It'll work for the time being.
how is it connected to the tv? does your tv auto switch channels? if not try manually switching inputs with your tv remote (ext1, ext2, scart, hdmi etc etc) you say you connected to tv put in a disc right away? did you set up your console first? (of course point one about the display needs to be resolved before set-up can take place)
example if you are connected to your tv with an HDMI cable and your tv does not detect and then switch to your HDMI input.. use tv remote and repeatadly press button (maybe called source on your remote maybe something else) untill the input is switched to HDMI
Try the keys on the set I would think there is a menu key there on the set to help get you out of favorite channels. Universal remotes don't always work as thought should be and usually onthe the devices remote will access all functions. Is our remote dead or busted? Try opening it up look for bad solder on the circuit board clean the switch contacts on the the board it may just fix it
There are a few things that can cause this. #1 most often cause is
either something spilled on the channel button or something wrong with
the bezel where the buttons are located causing the button to be
pressed all the time. Check the buttons on the tv and make sure none of
them are stuck. #2 is a bad button (switch). Replace the switch or the
control board. #3 is a short on the wiring harness going from the
switch to the mian board. Maybe it's squished against the frame
somewhere. #4 would be a bad main board. You will likely have to take
this unit to a service centre to have it looked at.
Access the service menu by pressing, in order, whilst the tv is in stand-by mode:
info menu mute power
when the tv comes back on you will have a service menu; select option 12 (reset) the tv will then switch off.
this will reset your TV back to factory defaults.
turn tv back on and you should be prompted to go through the plug and play setup again - go through everything and then all should start working OK (it did for me)
