Anyone anygood troubleshooting a Whirlpool Washer?

I've got a Whirlpool Washer, MOD LA5300XSNO that was working fine. I just moved into an new house and ran a load of clothes. The cycle ran up to the spin program then stopped. I tried to get a spin cycle to run on any program; nothing. I've tried to get any cycle to start anywhere from start, to middle, to spin, nothing.

I did have the cycle knob pulled out on a cycle, turnned the load selsector switch from small to large and water started to enter the tub for a couple seconds, then nothing. Now I cannot get anything to work. I can hear the timer running, but nothing activates regardless of what I select.

Also, before this, when I hooked everything up, I would get cold water in the tub when I had the temp selector on HOT. The hoses are hooked up properly, hot line to hot inlet, cold to cold.

There is power to the outlet that I have the wsher hooked up too.

Any ideas of what to test?

Thats a problem. Did you have the washer laid on it's side when moving? Timer switch would be first look. Hot water not working, but cold is? Mmmm.. Water inlet is pretty simple no real mechanical parts except intake valve for each inlet. Valve could be plugged or stuck closed on hot intake. Temp switch could be bad and that would cause the water intake to shut.I guess, but not usually a problem unless old machine. Make sure the fuse in control panel is intact. Underside of washer is a relay switch called wigwag. If it is bad nothing will cycle, easy fix 10 minutes and $15 in most cases. But check out before jumping to solve. All ways check cheapest parts first. Lid switch would also cause the no start and spin cycle problems.

I have a kenmore elite washer mod.#110-27062602

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/getModel!retrieve.pd?modelNumber=110.27062602&pathTaken=partSearch

Assuming that this is the Oasis type washer, see the Whirlpool Service Manual for their Cabrio washer which is basically the same as the Oasis.

It has troubleshooting and teardown procedures.

WASHER MOD.#LSQ9549LWO NOT SPINNING CLOTHS COMPLETELY DRY,ESPECIALLY LARGER LOADS

sounds like your clutch could be slipping not giving you full speed spin, i've heard you can install a #10 washer into the clutch spring cap and it would work fine , keeping you from replacing the clutch!

Wash machine sometimes gets stuck on rinse cycle & dryer not dry

Sounds like the drain hose for the washer is too far down in the stand pipe at the wall causing a siphon effect, try raising drain hose a little. The dryer sounds like the vent line from back of dryer too wall is pinched causing an air flow obstruction. Hope this helps.

Addl Info: Our Whirlpool Ultimate Care II washing maching agitates fine, but will not spin.

The spin tub mounting block is probably stripped on the basket drive. Remove agitator. Now put machine into spin do you see shaft spinning but the tub isnt moving???
