I was in midst of printing from my MFC-440CN & everything was going OK when it stopped and an 'unable to print 5A code came on the LCD...now I can't print, turn it off or do anything --help please what do I do now?...
There are diffrent reasons for this error:
check, if something sticks in the machine (paper or metal clip)
The paperfeeder clutch gear is broken: check if the paper feeder works well.
The purge station has problems to do the cleaning jobs: gear broken or too much ink within the purge tubes.
Anyway, this problem is hard to handle for a novice due to so many diffrent reasons.
You should contact a service dealer and in case it is still in warranty let fix them.
