I am using vista driver for windows 7 for my hp color laserjet 3500 printer it will print but the pictures look terrible and sometimes no picture the color is off. any help would be appriciated

According to the HP website:
"The Universal Print Driver (UPD) for the HP Color LaserJet CM1015 and CM1017 Multifunction Products might not be the best driver choice for this product because UPDs are typically print-only . There are no product-specific Windows 7 print/scan drivers available for this product.
While these products do not have a Windows 7-specific solution, you can run the HP product software created for the Windows Vista operating system on a Windows 7 PC in compatibility mode to enable full product software functionality.
This is the recommended Windows 7 solution to obtain the most software features for the HP Color LaserJet CM1015 and CM1017 MFPs."

If Hp does not have a drivr to support it then you are out of luck unless you find someone that hacked drivers to work with it. If they have Windows Vista drivers, you can try those but they are not goign to guarantee to work.

not all equipment from Xp works with vista or 7. Xp is not the same OS or even same breed as Vista/7

Go to HP.com check Support page. If they don't have it then it doesn't exist. They didn't have drivers for my 1000 when vista came out. They have to find some way to drive new printer sales.

It sounds like you downloaded the PCL Universal Driver. Try the full solution driver or the PostScript Universal Driver. Both allow color prints.

Print a 'Configuration Page' from the printers <Information Menu>

Press the green tick button to enter the menus, and use the <, > arrows to scroll thru menus.
Then press the green tick button to select...

If, as I suspect, your Configuration Page is in colour, and looking ok - the the problem is in your computer - Printer Driver setup, or Windows......

If it no longer prints to the old computer, begin by powered down the printer and unplugging the power for at least 1 minute.
Hook it back up to the old computer powered down.
Once powered back on, goto control panel, printers and make sure that printer is set to default.
Try and print again. If it works moving on to the other computer make sure you are using the correct windows 7 driver (32 bit or 64 bit) if you are using the correct one I would try and install the vista driver instead as windows 7 and vista are quite similar

Try reinstalling the printer driver software again. This could solve your problem.

2. Press to highlight configure device.
3. Press to select configure device.
4. Press to highlight PRINT quality.
5. Press to select PRINT quality.
6. Press to highlight CALIBRATE NOW.
7. Press to select CALIBRATE NOW.
8. Wait for the printer to calibrate.

When I try to print from an access data base to the laserjet color 3500 usb printer.
Tried diff. drivers, diff usb cable, it works for a while but after several test runs the error reapears.
