The Comcast remote will unlikely have Olevia codes available since its design age is much older than the set's. In addition, it may never have them since Olevia is bankrupt and probably of little interest to Comcast. You might check Comcast's website since the most recent codes will be available there.

I have the same problem and have heard that if you have a comcast remote that takes 4 digit remote codes, it won't work.

You need a newer comcast remote that accepts 5 digit remote codes.

The easiest way to determine if you have a new or old remote is the color of the Ok/Select button. Newer remotes have a red OK/Select button. Older ones have a gray Ok/Select button. Comcast reps may be able to drop one off.

If not, I've heard Radio Shack carries cheap universal remotes that work w/ both Comcast DVRs and Olevia LCD TVs.

I used the RCA codes and 10019 worked for the digital adapter remote for Comcast.

I need the remote code for an Olevia 237-S12 tv for my Comcast cable remote.

Olevia was never big enough to be given any codes by the cable companies or the box manufacturers. What I finally did was buy a Logitech Harmony remote online. The price range is pretty broad depending on the feature set you're looking for. But if you're fed up enough it will get the job done for anywhere from $40 to $100+.

Cant program a comcast remote to the olevia tv

I'm not sure there is a code for a Comcast remote. I just bought a Sony RM-VLZ620 for about $20 - it controls up to 8 devices and includes codes for Olevia and Comcast.

Comcast remote don't work on olevia 232

Unless Comcast has seen fit to add codes for a bankrupt parent company, you aren't likely to ever find any. The codes are a fixed function (unless it is a 'learning' remote) burned into a table in a chip and if the table didn't carry codes for Olevia when you got it, it won't have them now.

You might check their website (Comcast's) for recent code information.
I wish someone would bring a suit against any of these manufacturers using the term 'universal.'
At best, they are 'multibrand' and, with the proliferation of 'brands,' there never will be one that can rightfully claim to be 'universal.'
There may never be a code for your brand available in every remote.

Universal remote code?

Buy a Harmony Remote. I got a 520 - works great programs easy. There isn't any way you'll get the Comcast Remote to work. Had the Comcast technician here for 75 minutes trying. I wanted him to give up after 20, but he insisted he could get it. I think he tried every concievable codes to no avail.
