So you are using this cable to connect to the TV? On this cable is there only a red, yellow & white connector? This is known as an S-Video or AV cable.
Can you make sure you are connecting it in the right part of your TV. Once connecting it you will need to select the AV input on your TV or you may need to tune the TV into that input (depending on your TV age/model)

the fuse is blowing because power suger/or bad flyback/hozoutput/or power supply whent bad. unplug the tv .take off the back and look for the fuse you see the power cord it by the powercord if the fuse is black it a hard blow.
