Hi, I imagine your smart TV does not have a scart socket on it and the dvd/vcr does not have an HDMI socket, the Best way probably to connect the two together is using an RCA cable which should plug into the rear of the DVD player and the other end into the rear or side of the TV. On your tv remote there should be a button called "Source" or "input" or "AV" press that and select AV input, if that does't work select the other input options until the DVD/VCR appears on the screen. Note the cable is red/yellow/white but a red/blue/green will work the same.

are there any places for av cable to be plugged in? We have an older tv that only plugs in the front. I have a 20" magnavox tv too, about a 1993-94 model And it has the colored (red, yello, white) av plug ins in the back. Yours doesnt have this? Please reply.

I am unfamiliar with this unit.
If you have scart connecters on both, connect av2 on the tv to av in on the recorder. set the recorder to record from av source.
You should now record a program, I think the static is the fact that composite is out from the dvd only, not an input, and in on the tv, not an output.

that TV has no AV connection jacks. look for a converter AV to RF. the vedio and audio from your DVD player will be connected on the vedio/ audio IN and let your RF out go to a TV on RF IN, this will solve your problem. thanks

Very simple just plugged your audio cable to your lcd monitor jack , then do the same to your pc audio jack. From the front (with picture of a headphone) or from the back (green audio jack) To settings the volume control open the on screen display from the lcd monitor and look for volume settings. or go to your toolbar bottom r/h side look for the icon of a speaker and click on it...and that it... have nice a day!

Check to make sure it is on either the AV 1 or AV 2 channel

No setting or troubleshooting can fix this. TV needs service. Sounds like a control board or buffer board went out.

I have it and it works great! For all TVs, the TV have to be on fixed settings on standard, dot-by-dot mapping, noise reduction off. The camera's exposure the same for both side-by-side shots. Just set it on standard and it should work...
