I would shut it down completely and then disconnect power supply for 10 secs.. then replug it back in and be sure that all your controls are connected properly and cables pushed in all the way and see if it works then.. is this happening when you have a game in or without? just curious.. i hope i helped somehow..d

Im having the problem with my system not playing a game. It just stays on the main menu and will not play anything. I've tried unplugging it for a about a minute, and also tried doing the reset like the manual says. Nothing is working.
Hey guys thanks for the info and comments. I actually got to talk to someone at the 800 # and they said its done... grrrrrrrrr. I guess i'll have to wait for a new one. I've only spent a total of 15 hours of playing time. what a rip off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats $26.60 an hour to play PS3. Tell me is that worth it???????
