I recently installed windows 7 and my phaser 8560N will not print, the printer keeps telling me to add paper but the tray is full?

Sometimes the sensors need to be woke up. Try the -paper feed- setting. If that does not work turn off the printer and re-boot your computer. Turn the printer on.

My Xerox Phaser 8560N has paper jams very often. The codes from Troubleshooting->Service Tools->Jam History for the last 20 jams are: - N4W [9] - C3T [6] - P4V [2] - C3X [1] - M4F [1] -A2C ...

Most of these types of paper jam errors are caused by a cracked cam on the Drum Maintenance Camshaft, which throws the timing off for the whole print process. I would recommend a technician replace the camshaft because there are components that need carefully removed to avoid breaking, then they need to be properly aligned and timed when they are reinstalled. Not really a do-it-yourself repair.

Xerox printer 8560n won't print

First download and install printer's driver ..click here Select your operating system and language. Next try to print the configuration page ..--> Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button on the Control Panelto select [Printer Setup] on the Display Screen, and then press the [OK]button. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button to select[Configuration Page], and then press the [OK] button to print. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button to select [Exit], andthen press the [OK] button to return to the Main Menu.

Printing from wrong tray

I suffered from the same problem for a long time. We got Xerox Phaser 8550 and 8560 here. I choose on computer "tray 2" but the printer just print from tray 1 which is empty.

Today i figured it out! It's some configuration at the printer. So go to "Paper tray setp" -> "Tray 1 mode" and "Tray 2 mode" -> change to "static".

I figure it's like this. Before it was "dynamic", it probably means the printer decides it's better to use tray 1 even though you choose tray 2 - and this decision is stupid. Changing it to "static" fixes this.

Phaser 8560N prints multiple pages when powered on

This was due to the TFTP (PXE) setting on the printer set to on. No more wasted paper at startup/wakeup after changing setting to off.

I am trying to print a document in Word and my Phaser 8560 will print it, but there is a blank section on the page (approximately 4 inches wide running down the middle of the page) where the text did not...

Did the document print in full even though it left blank spaces? I f so the problem is The Page Break Occurred before it actually reached the end of the paper. Check what paper is selected on the printer. I don't mean the tray or paper feeder.
On the LCD screen on the printer go through the menu till you find the paper. Make sure the paper is set to A4 or Letter (whatever you normally use.) and make sure this setting matches with the paper select in the documenent.
Check File ->Print ->Settings or Options .... Find out where the paper is mentioned and select A4 or Letter as the case may be.

Media is not picked up from the media tray

save the document to your desktop or copy and paste into word or notepad..

tell ya printer settings to clean nozzles.
remove paper.
place paper into tray area but not a whole lot....15-20 sheets...

now print...hows that..:-)

Phaser 8400 won't print.

pull out the paper drawer and look on the ceiling of the compartment. you will see a little orange rubber roller that should be clicked inplace. it feeds the paper up into the roller. also, the drawer itself contains two sensors. if you go to the xerox page you can download the pdf that lists all the parts and the errors and how to disassemble the whole thing. i have the same printer and got a print head error and a paper jam that required complete disassembly. feel free to email me for additional help.

Not printing

Hi ,
There may be several causes for this problem.
I will tell you one by one, and you try it.

CAUSE: 1
The printer is not
receiving power.
SOLUTION:1
Check the power cord connections.
Check the power switch and the
power source.

CAUSE:2
The printer is not
selected as the
default printer.
SOLUTION:2
Select Xerox Phaser 6110
Series as your default printer.

CAUSE:3
Check the printer for
the following:
• The printer cover is
not closed.
• Paper is jammed.
• No paper is loaded.
• A toner cartridge is
not installed.
SOLUTION:3
After locating the problem, clear it.
If a printer system error occurs,
contact your service representative.
• Close the printer cover.
• Clear the paper jam.
• Load paper.
• Install the toner cartridge.


CAUSE:4
The printer may be in
manual feed mode
and out of paper.
SOLUTION:4
Check the message on the Status
Monitor program window, add paper
to the tray and press the
button on the control panel.



CAUSE:5
The connection cable
between the
computer and the
printer is not
connected properly.
SOLUTION:5
Disconnect the printer cable and
reconnect it.

between the
computer and the
printer is defective.
