Kenmore Ultra Wash Dishwasher LIghts are blinking....

I have a Ultra Wash Dishwasher. The other day, i tried starting the clean cycle and nothing happened. The normal wash light keeps blinking. I tried to push the cancel button and nothing happened. I cycled the power and tried again with same results. I tried the power again and hit the cancel button and it started to drain then stopped. I then read on line to try to reset it. It started up like normal but after about 10 minutes into the cycle it stopped and the normal wash light is blinking again.

Please help. I'm having the same problem. My dishwasher clean light blinks 7 times every 5 seconds. Dishwasher won't start. I can press any of the wash or rinse cycle buttons and then start and the start just blinks red but does nothing. I heard there is a reset switch but I don't know where it is. Can you help????

I am having the same problem... the light says that it is "clean"... I select a wash option and press start, the light blinks several times and then stops... I have pressed cancel and all of the other options but nothing is working.

Mine does the same thing, except when I press the cancel button, the washer tries to drain for several minutes, then turns off with the clean light flashing. I even tried turning off the power with no luck.

The "Lock On" light keeps flashing and none of the controls work.

Although I have pressed the "No Heat Dry" button for more than 4 seconds, this has had no effect.

I have an ultra wash dishwasher. The Cancel Drain button is blinking red lights and at the same time the normal wash is blinking green light. I pushed the other buttons but nothing happens. How can I reset this to operate correctly?

Clean light flashes 7 times, stops momentarily, then flashes 7 times again. I reset it with the code, and it starts a cycle, but doesn't complete it.

push normal wash button and the start button but the machine doesn't start

The currys dishwasher when switched on does not clear remaining liquid from the bottom of the cabinet. It doesn't start the wash cycle.

I just read this for the same problem: push sanitize, then heat and dry, sanitize, heat and dry, sanitize, heat and dry, cancel, then open and close the door. It worked. The dishwasher is running correctly even as I type this.

SOURCE: Kenmore Ultra Wash Dishwasher - Blinking Quick Rinse Light

My guess is that the foil that the buttons are mounted to is defective.  The control module "reads" the buttons that are pushed by the fact that the resistance between two pins on the circuitboard becomes zero ie. your pushing the button shorts out two pins.  the foil could have moistire damage or the resiistance of the tracks could be too high.  Solution for both would be to replace the control panel button foil.

if unavailable on line, contact mfg's parts and you should be able to order it.
also, they likely do not make the unit. the sears may be able to tell you who made it. that company would be able to get you a diagram. just make some phone calls.

SOURCE: Kenmore Elite Ultra Wash Dishwasher - top rack arm not spinning

Hi: I just posted a similar problem, but found a solution. After taking the arm, etc. apart (and verifying no blockages), I thought maybe the lack of water pressure was being caused by the fact that there are TWO holes for the top spray arm (higher and lower rack setting) on my model. ie. that water was being forced out of both holes, causing a drop in water pressure, which was causing the top spray arm to stop spinning. I plugged the unused hole with a wine bottle cork (to keep the water from spraying out the unused hole), and voila, it now works.

I wish all appliance fixes were this easy...!

SOURCE: Kenmore Ultra Wash dishwasher

check and see if you are getting ac 110 volts to your water vave when trying to start the unit. if no power check your breakers and /or the incoming power to your dishwasher if they are ok and show 110 voltage coming to the unit then you probably have a control board or touchpad problem which would need a little more detailed check out.
If you do have ac 110 to your water valve then you may just have a bad water valve. Because the washer has to fill first. Hope that helps!!

Kenmore Ultra Wash 665 dishwasher: start button not lighing

It sounds like you have a bad control console, and the problem is that your START button (the most critical one!) is bad. You can't replace just that button or key; you have to replace the entire control console.

Clean light keeps blinking and I can't start a new cycle

That is a comon problem with that model. It is not sensing a temperature change in the water.

Push i believe it is heated dry and sani rinse going back and fourth between the two to clear the code and see if you can get it to complete a cycle. If it doesnt call sears and schedule service there is a service flash repair that should not cost you anything to repair the unit.

Kenmore ultra wash quiet guard 3 dishwasher problem

call sears, 1-800-4MY-HOME. They have a trouble-shooting department that will get rid of this problem. It is caused by water temperature being wrong at the start of the cycle.... blah, blah, blah. The representative will tell you to push a certain set of buttons in a certain order and that unlocks the dishwasher.

Sorry I don't know the sequence

Clean light keeps blinking and I can't start a new cycle

Puppa, clear the fault by pressing the keys in this order: high temp scrb--air dry--high temp scrub--air dry. Or, depending on your model..Sani rinse--air dry--sani rinse--air dry. The dishwasher will enter the service mode. Let it do it's thing or advance it through it by pressing the start key. The fault came from the board not sensing a rise in the water temp. Make sure to run the hot water before starting the dishwasher. The heating element runs through the nuetral side of the door switch so make sure the d/w is level and the door switches are all making. The element itself could be at fault. Catriver...post back
