Thread: Kenmore dishwasher lights flashing: "Hi Temp" & "Heat Dry" ... A few months ago, we had a brief power outage and the next morning, noticed the "Hi Temp" and "Heat Dry" lights were flashing. ... Well since then, the dishwasher intermittently stops mid-cycle and these same lights ... Thread: GE Eterna QuietPower 2 Normal and Heated Dry ...

It seems most likely door latch stock and you going to need buy new door latch as for stock one most likely you hsve to forceit to open and replace it with new one

It sounds like you have a bad control console, and the problem is that your START button (the most critical one!) is bad. You can't replace just that button or key; you have to replace the entire control console.

I would try turning the breaker off for 5 minutes to see if it will reset.

Wish I could solve this, as I'm having the same problem too. Normal light blinks not matter which wash button is pressed. Cancel light will light, but still NOTHING happens. Same model as yours.

I suspect for either of these units that the timer control boards are bad.

You will have to reset the console. To do this, close the door and press these buttons in sequence...

-high temp wash
-heated dry
-high temp wash
-heated dry

...all the lights will turn on briefly and the machine will start a diagnostic cycle. You can press cancel or let the diagnostic cyle finish (1-2 minutes).
You should now be able to run the dishwasher as normal.

there is no real way of checking the keypad. Not with a meter but if you push normal wash for example and it does not respond this usually means that you have a bad keypad

Just press the 'Air Dry' button for 5-6 seconds....I have an ancient Kenmore Dishwasher (ULTRA)

call sears, 1-800-4MY-HOME. They have a trouble-shooting department that will get rid of this problem. It is caused by water temperature being wrong at the start of the cycle.... blah, blah, blah. The representative will tell you to push a certain set of buttons in a certain order and that unlocks the dishwasher.
