ON OFF SWITCH BROKEN NEED TO FIND A SPARE TO REPLACE IT
I have the same problem, I am using have the switch and it keeps falling out. I need a replacement plastic switch.
Same identical issue here ! HP sold me a new camera for 1/2 price. 8 mp
Is there a fix ??
SAME thing happened to me, I love the camera but the switch broke off gotta use a pen or other small object to slide it over. I want a repair but hp said it will cost the same price as buying a new camera. I HATE HP!!!

Just Google the manufacturer's name and
follow the links. Make certain you are directed to the manufacturer's
web site as some search engines direct you to other sites and they
charge for the information that is normally free of charge.
There will be lots of TV repair places that will have one if you remove the broken one as a sample.

My plastic on/off switch cracked and fell out of the camera. I've been inserting the end of a paper clip into the tiny hole left by the missing switch. I use the paper clip to slide the mechanism which powers the camera on and off. Best Buy wanted $25 to evaluate the problem and would not assure me they could even get the part. Any suggestions?
