For some reason the box keeps popping up on the monitor

this due to the faulty micro controller of the monitor, its better take it to the technician

It seems to be a hardware issue with the buttons. They are stuck or the rubber cushion under the button has gone bad. That's the reason they are getting pressed automatically. You may take to a local store for a small repair.

It's there to notify you that a setting on the monitor is not wisely selected - lower the contrast to less than 80. Ideally you should reset the monitor to default values - use this option from the menu.

Do you mean the monitor OSD ? ? it means the small buttons in your monitor has stuck .. probably the key is broken or dust would have been stuck the contrast key

You may have problem in the logic board (the right board in the first picture), bad firmware in the ROM chip, which there is not much you can do to reload the firmware. You can open it up and inspect the inside.

That would be the monitor and not the PC. try going to menu on the monitor and doing a factory reset.....if that doesn't work unplug for 3mins and try agin....if neither work then your monitor is faulty. Hope this works out for ya

The up/down button on your flat panel is stuck. Please contact Dell Technical Support to have the monitor replaced if its still within warranty.

Is the OSD button stuck on the front of the monitor? Can you control the OSD menu with software or firmware? It may be the button interface/hardware.

the micro switches on the monitor are getting short which is triggering the menu, try to clean it with a switch cleaner or check if the switches can be replaced, do this only if u r an expert in handling things like this or take some proffessional assistance.
