Hi,
First you have to check through focus control, That if it out then rotate it and see the result, if it solve the problem then its good and if not the the picture tubes needs replacement, it could be one or all (three; i.e; Red Blue Green)
Thanks.

Picture is hard to see

If the model number here is correct and set has not been "serviced" in a long time-----unplug set and remove rear cover= clean the 3 large black lens top side of chassis (hard to miss them) as if they are dusty the picture will be darker and somewhat dull looking---they are attached to the 3 picture tubes this set uses and are the light source for the picture.

Dull picture

The picture is dull because your bulb is dying or dead or even the TV has come to that age that it no longer a vivid nice picture. A bulb with housing is around $150.

Dull

this is a common situation with the rear projection build. its a combination of the burn in effect and also, bad tuning. you can get a better picture by using the DVI option. rgb stream can give you a better picture as well. adjusting the sharpness can help sometimes.

Dull color

I would say phone or email Kodak as you may have a faulty printhead. If Kodak sayes you have a bad head they will airmail you one overnight and throw in free black and color ink tanks all free of charge.
I have read that some how in making the printhead a run got too hot in process and thus a bad printhead.
Hope this helps
