Nikon l110 date and time reset

I don't think you can change this. For time keeping, there is a little rechargeable battery in the camera. It will take about 12 hours for the battery to become fully charged, if everything is normal. If the little battery is gone, the camera can't keep up the time, causing your trouble. Please check with Nikon, what it will cost if they can repair this. To expensive? start saving for a new camera.
At least I think you gave the little battery enough time to charge. It would be bad, to remove the battery every time you stop shooting. Leave the main battery in the camera for at least one day and check again.

The time and date setting deeps erasing itself everytime my camera is turned off Cannon A480

This model isn't all that old but I suspect the internal "button" type watch battery has gone dead. This little battery is what keeps the date/time going when the camera is shut off and "normally" last upwards to five years from date of manufacture not date of purchase.

The battery in my canon elph sd780 doesn't last long

Hello

Thank you for using FixYa for your problem

Always check the batteries first but if is it still giving the same fault, your camera is faulty.
It should be taken to an authorized repair centre for a repair estimate. Very few digital cameras have any user-serviceable parts.

Please rate our solutions and if you still have problems please call back for more ideas to help you

My camera eats batteries....no matter what kind I use

Sir,

Please follow these steps....

) You can lower the setting of your digital camera so that the quality of photo is reduced from the typical "standard quality" which comes set on the camera. What you will need to do is go into the options and reduce the quality to "economy" so that the battery expands less energy to take the picture, which will lead to longer batter life.

2) Make sure that you have calibrated your battery before you bring the camera along on your adventure. You can do this by charging your battery fully and then turning on the camera so that it dies. Once this happens you can charge it again and you will find that it will now last a lot longer than it formally did. I have found this to be very useful with all of my digital cameras.

3) In order to get the most out of your battery you should switch the battery in your camera from standard disposable batteries to rechargeable batteries. This is because of the fact that they last 2x as long as expand less to actually take the photo according to the Energizer rechargeable box.

4) You can go into the settings and turn off the flash if you see one when you are taking a picture. This will reduce the amount of energy going out of the camera which means that your battery will not die as fast as it normally would. You will need to select settings and then choose "no" next to the word flash.

5) You can also make your battery last longer by adjusting the settings so that you are not recording audio notes with your pictures. This will drain your battery fast so you should go into your options menu and select audio off. According to my Sanyo instruction booklet this will make your battery last up to an hour longer.

Thanks
Good Luck

Eats batteries

maybe you can alter your settings I think some settings (the resolution or size of pictures ?) may cause batteries to run down more quickly.

My cam won't turn on!!!

sounds similar to my problem - after several times of occuring & working again apparently by chance I now think problem is caused by taking out main battery whilst camera switched on causing a software problem - try taking out both batteries for a long time (I did an hour) so camera forgets all it knows including date etc & reverts to factory settings. Make sure main battery is charged & replace both batteries - I did this & camera now seems fine - though haven't tried to recreate fault !

Battery charged but camera not working

The other battery is a small watch button battery, and is strictly to power the cameras clock to keep track of date and time of each photo. Its true that it's charged by the main battery, but this little button battery will not provide operation power for your camera. How old is the main battery? They normally only last for a couple years, and usually require replacement at that point even if only used a little.

Low battery indication

You have either a faulty charger, a faulty battery or a fault in your camera. I purchased 2 batteries for my Sony 505v and from new one of them kept flashing an empty battery sign right in the middle of the display. Actually it was fully charged but Sony batteries have a little circuit inside them which tell you how long the batteries will last. In my case I could continue to use the battery but put up with that flashing icon. I returned it to where I purchased it and it was replaced Immediately. Please ,next time give us a little more information as to what battery type it is and which camera it goes in. Some cameras can develop a natural short circuit over time. BMW
