Try to access the configuration page of your router and look for channel number. Change the channel number to 11 or 13 whichever is available. It should work fine after that. If it still does not work, you can hard reset it by pressing the reset switch on the router. However, then, you will have to configure all the settings again.

My WBR-1310 keeps losing connection every 10 mins or so. Is there a fix I can download to my router? (like an update or something)

Hi,
I got your issue, since your facing the frequent disconnection in the internet connection,

ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Gateway/wbr1310/Firmware/wbr1310_firmware_104.bin.

Please download the firmware using this link and log into the router setup page of DLink with 192.168.0.1 and update the firmware

I'm sure this will help you to fix the issue.

Thanks & Regards,
Prema

Installation problem: D-link wireless router WBR-1310

  1. Push the RESET button on the back.
  2. Plug in the computer only into one of the 4 blue ports (and the router power plug of course).
  3. Give it a minute or two.
  4. Open a browser on your PC, type 192.168.0.1 in the address bar. No www or anything should be there.
  5. You should be able to access the router menu from this address. If this doesn't work, the default address might be listed on the bottom, along with the username and password
  6. If the above steps are successful you should be able to access the internet when you plug in your cable/DSL modem into the WAN port.
From another PC the manual can be downloaded from here:
ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Gateway/wbr1310/Manual/wbr1310_manual_110.zip
Hope this helps.

I would try one or both of the following:

1. Update any drivers or software for the D-Link router.
2. Update the firmware of the router (see page 38 of the user manual for instructions to do this). -- you can download the manual at http://www.dlink.com/products/?tab=3&pid=WBR-1310&rev=WBR-1310 if you dont have it.

Hope this helps.

Wireless Home network will not stay connected to internet

So you have a DSL modem connected to a router connected to a wireless router connected to both your computers? Sounds like you need to just get a wireless modem and throw all the routers away.

Losing internet connection on d-link wbr 1310 every so often as like 10min-1hr on wireless

There could be a number of reasons as to why the connection is being lost.
1. You could be too far away from the router to pick up the wireless signal clearly - and atmospherics can effect this more. 2. The ADSL filter could be faulty or not installed. 3. The ISP could be dropping out.
You could try plugging in with a cable and seeing if the problem persists (in which case it probably isn't the wireless link)?
There are some LED indicators on the router to help with the diagnosis.
