I need a part for my DEll 2300 MP Projector!

Does anyone have a Dell a projector that would like to sell for parts?? Please let respond to this comment and I'll let you know exactly what I need. Thank you!

I contacted Dell - but they countn't help. Not even with a contact to the producer.

So I'm still interested in finding it as a sparepart - somehow.

I have a 2300mp. Everything works great, except the fan stopped turning. The lamp has only a few hundred hours, I bought it new just a few months ago. Willing to sell for parts. My email is [email protected]

We are using a Dell 2300 projector. The Power

check that you have a signal going out of the monitor socket on your lalptop.

On Dell with projector connected and switched on, press the blue fn button bottom left usually, and while holding, press one marked CRT/LCD, (maybe f8) this will cycle to the following.
laptop only, laptop and monitor, monitor only, while holding Fn button press until you have desired outcome.

Ok you need to replace the thermo sensor on this now the thing is the replacment is not something "just anyone can do" Now what you can do is this you can take it into BEST BUY witch are EXPERTS to help you replace the sensor in this.

But for a end user to dig inside of this would not be wise. I would highly recommend a expert fix this due to the sensor. The sensor is on the ballast board.

Dell 2300 MP temp light flashes and projector turns off.

I am experiencing a similar problem with mine. It will cycle on and off without actually powering up fully and then after about the 4th or 5th time it will shut off completely and the lamp indicator light on top illuminates. i am reading in other blogs that this is a design flaw on this unit. let me know if you have found any fixes.

You rbest bet would be to buy a fan on ebay as Dell doesn't sell spare parts of their Projectors at all.

If you take a look at the fans you will notice that it is not their own produce and you will easily find these fans on a spares site.

Connection with the TV

Hi,

It will work only if your TV has a Video OUT either in Composite RCA, S-video or in some other form although not all TV models have this feature.

Alternately, you can hook up your projector to an old VCR which definitely will have a Video OUT and use its built-in TV tuner. Of course you have likewise to connect a cable/aerial to the RF IN of the VCR.

DELL 2300 MP NOT TURNING ON

Have the same problem here. Have two of these units. Took the bulb out of the one that had the Lamp light on, and put it in the other projector. The other projector worked perfectly. I have three bulbs, they all work in the one projector, they all cause Lamp Light in the other one. The manual states nothing about hard resetting the unit. Also note that, the fans do not power up instantly on power on, they come on about 5 seconds after pressing the power button.
