There is a small thermometer that contacts/sits very close to the metal heat roller on your fuser, chances are when removing the jam its been bent away from the roller, have a look and try and see if you can see it, not knowing this exact printer im not sure the exact position but it is usually in the middle of the roller coming from the top of the fuser housing, another thing to check is if your fuser is actually warming up atall, if you cant feel any heat then the fuser lamp that heats it up has gone bad

The lcd display an error code ....E04-01...and i need to get into service mode to clear the message..thanks help please

Did you make a repair or replace the fuser and need to reset the code?; Because if you didn't fix the problem, you'll still get the same low fuser temperature error code.
Press <function>, <original size (ledger)>, <3>
to enter service mode, go to F9-05-04 (RAM Initialize, fuser reset, power off/on)
If the E4-01 error code returns you have a defective thermistor/thermostat.

H4 Displays

H4 indicates "low temperature", possibly caused by a failure of the heater lamp or fuser. Sometimes this error is shown without an actual damage when the power cord is pulled without shutting down the copier first.

To cancel the error code, press [CLEAR], [AUTO], [CLEAR], [AUTO] in rapid succession. The display should go blank. Next, select 14 (clear low temperature code), press [START]. Finally, switch off and on the machine.

If there was no actual damage (i.e. power cord pulled), the machine should be OK again. If the error persists, immediately or after short time of operation, you will need to contact Sharp technical service for repair.

DP 2500 displaying E04-01

You have a failure in the Fusing Unit:
E4- 01 Fuser warm-up temperature
1. Fuser Thermistor is dirty.
2. Thermistor position is incorrect.
3. Fuser temperature is low.
4. Thermistor is defective.
5. Fuser Lamp connector is disconnected.
6. Fuser Thermostat is defective.
7. Fuser Lamp is defective.
8. HTC PCB connector (CN716) is disconnected
You can try resetting the error by using this key sequence:
enter simulation mode by pressing keys ''Function + Original Size + 3 ''
go to f9 mode ,06 (ram initialize ) sub code 04 to reset fuser error.
If the code comes back you will need a service technician to diagnose which part is bad.

Error H-4

H4-00 on Sharp means that the temperature inside the printer is too low. That is usually the fuser lamp, and sometimes the temp sensor jammed.

Only when the problem is a jammed temp sensor or a jammed control board you can reset the machine by doing a reset.

You try reset from simulation mode by following procedure below:
Clear key >>Interrupt key >> "0" key >> Interrupt key >> Main code >>Start key >> Sub code >> Start key

If the error remains, that means that the fuser is really bad and must be replaced.

When this happen you need to have the fuser unit replaced, if that does not fix the problem the technician will replace the temperature sensor.

50.1 Fuser Error

50.1 error is usually a fuser low temperature error. The thermistor (electronic termometer) that controls high and low temperature is either obstructed, damaged or the heating element inside the fuser has been brokem or damaged. Carefully remove and inspect the fuser. If you have no obstructions then the fuser will have to be replaced.

Here's a link to the full service manual in PDF for free. Good luck.

ERROR

921 Fuser Error Indicates that the fuser is below standby temperature when the printer is idle.
Error codes 920, 921, and 922 may display for a cold fuser failure. A 920 error caused by low line voltage can sometimes be cleared by turning the machine off and then on again.
Service Tip: Set the Fuser Temperature to NORMAL before starting this service check.
Manually spin the fan and check that
it rotates freely. Check the cable
connection to the engine board, J13
for correct installation.
