Must be a dysfunction of the UMD reader. Did you have the same issue with the previous firmware?
If not, try to 'downgrade' your psp to a previous firmware (can't be done with every firmware, make a quick search on google and you should find out if you can)
If the issue still occurs then its definately the UMD reader.
have you tried adjusting the brightness of the screen on your psp by using the display button to toggle if it is dark or light? if so the problem is either coming from your lens or the cds you are trying to play. playstation console usually have regional codes that determines the kind of cds they play. for example a region 2 psp might not play a region 1 cd and so on. what you do is to check the region of your psp by reading through the manual and you would see the regional cds it accepts. also make sure the cds are in good condition as that could also affect the game. if all the above refuses to work, it could be that you need a software update which you can do by going through your manual too. if all refuses, your lens is probably bad and needs replacement. hope this helped you? please rate
When you put the game in, there is a latch at the bottom the psp that when you put the game in, it tells the psp to load the game. When you put the game in, look and see if you see a silver latch that the game should push. If you see it, make sure the game is pushing down when inserted. If it is not there, or it still does not work, you will need to get it serviced at a game store or at a shop.

What is the name of the game that isn't loading? is the disk scratched? and do you plug your psp into your computer using usb? if so, if you unplug the psp withput stopping it on the windows desktop, it can sometimes corrupt or delete the data stored on the memory stick.
I do not understand you ,be more specific
