After starting up my laptop, if I drop the screen down it goes blank and will not come back on unless I restart the computer. The problem started after it was dropped on the floor. Everything apperars to work fine except for the screen going off. I beleive it is a mechanical problem..Any clue???????
Looose wires maby on screen under top side clip out that pice on top to see if cables looose dwas it pluged in when u droped it maby power going bad cant get enfh power to screen try that 1st new power cheak fn button make sure not defulte dto crt over onbord lcd thx nick im open for chat
From the Symptom you described, it seems like the thin video cable's connector is loose and is barely connected to the video adapter on the motherboard. You won't be able to tell until you remove the Keyboard and/or the Palmrest to check it. Also, there is a slim possibility that the Laptop has knocked something loose and is going into sleep mode.
