Hello Karthik, This must surely be a problem with your monitor, because you say that you see the white screen while boot up. If this is a graphic driver issue, you may have the problem after booting up in windows. Since its been only a month old laptop, the product must be in warranty for sure. Take away any CDs in the drive, any USB drives and see if this white screen appears. Let us know.
The memory modules are located at the bottom of the laptop under one of the panels.
The memory modules may be OK and may only need reseating. Then boot up the laptop to see if it works, if it doesn't work, the memory may be faulty, take it to a computer shop to get it tested.
Your Back light has most likely gone out.. There is a possibility that your resolution may be to high or that you have it set to output on an external display... If its your res. you should be able to hit F8 at startup to enter safe mode... If it is the external display you need to hit FN + the key that has a little blue or yellow monitor (its a different key on each laptop)
