You have internal screen damage from dropping it, you can either watch it this way or buy a new set

most likely you have a bad buffer, if the redish area runs left to right take a ruler or something and see if its the bottom side or the top and pull that board, when u have the back off it will be on the left side connected to the y-sus, go on ebay there is a few people who sell them

You definitely should return it. The "pinkish tint" you describe suggests that it's more than just a dent; there is also damage to the display screen, probably caused by the same whack that made the dent.

Have you tried double clicking on the bar right at the top of the screen next to the minimize, maximise, close buttons? By double clicking in this area it'll change the size/shape of the browser screen, you can then reposition the window to the top left of your screen and then click and drag the bottom right hand side of his window once the cursor turns into a double headed arrow.

If your TV looks 3D, warped, or distorted it likely has a convergenge problem.
If however it just looks dull, washed out, redish, or if it looks like objects on the screen have halos the fluid in the lens has soured.
You can search google for parts or you can get the parts with repair instructions from sites such as www.TvRepairKits.com

More likely to be T-CON board or the main baord which drives the T-CON board. Board swapping will be the easiest way to find out.

IT SOUNDS LIKE A PINCUSHION PROBLEM. IN MOST CASES IT IS DUE TO CAPACITORS GOING BAD ON THE BOARD. OTHER TIMES SOME TV'S HAVE LARGE MICROCHIPS THAT RUN THE PINCUSHION AND COLOR SYNC. HOPE THAT HELPS.
