Those parts are very common and cheap to buy. The problem is your model number isn’t correct. Leave out you serial number and re-check the model number. When dog agits go bad, the bottom half of the agitator should still work.

Remove the caps on the top of the agitator. Next using a suitable socket, undo the retaining nut being careful not to loose and washers..
Lift the agitator enough to remove the towel. Reassemble...

does it agitate???. if it does not then you need the motor coupling. you need to remove the cabinet, yes, I said the cabinet, remove the pump,motor and you got to the coupling. replace all part in kit. reassemble and test. go to the website of sears parts WITH THE COMPLETE MODEL. and get the part. model starts like 110.xxxxxxxxxxx

You are referring to the agitator bolt and agitator cam assembly. Whirlpool manufactured washers (such as Kenmore) use a split agitator design. The top half is known as the "auger, while the lower half is the agitator. Between the two pieces is a cam assembly, with small teflon teeth known as "dogs". There's also an agitator bolt that holds the entire assembly to the center post.

If the auger (top half of the agitator) has come loose all that you should have to do is retighten the agitator bolt and snap the center post cap (or dispenser) back in place. DO NOT overtighten as this can restrict movement of the agitator or damage it. Tighten until snug.

The agitator on most Kenmore top loaders is a split design. The upper portion is called the auger, the bottom is the agitator. It comes apart by followng these simple steps:

1. Remove the center cap on the auger by either pulling straight up or gently placing a flat blade screwdriver into a slot located in the cap. Make sure you keep the gasket. This is used to create an air gap to keep water from leaking into the transmission, so make sure you seat it properly for a good seal when you reassemble.

2. If the auger is equipped with an inner cap underneath with a handle, remove this as well by pulling straight up.

3. Remove the center bolt of the agitator. You will have either a 7/16” hex bolt or a recessed square plastic nut. If you have the square recessed type, use a 3/8” to ½” ratchet adapter to remove.

4. With the center bolt removed, you can remove the entire assembly with the auger still attached to the top of the agitator, by grasping the bottom flange near the bottom of the tub and carefully pulling straight up. Try to keep all the parts assembled while doing this, so do not pull too hard. This will make this reassembly much easier.

probably just what is known as agitator dogs just worn ..with no brand or model i assume it's a whirpool or kenmore ..1st remove softner dispenser (without brand can't say how it would come off ..some twist off some just pull off ) if agitator has cap underneath pull it off in center of agitator should be a bolt 7/16 if kenmore/whirlpool..remove it pull up on top half ..whole thing may come out if so just pull up sharply on top part..center part of top half comes out dogs are on it( 4 )again i'm assuming kenmore/whirlpool whirpool part # 80040 replace them and reassemble ..if any other brand will probably have to replace entire agitator..good luck
