Ps3 my screen is pink, what would cause that?

Sounds like a bad cable or port. Use component if you have it to test the connection. Anti Piracy blacks out the video (from what I have seen) whereas video signal losses with change the color. On the Pink screen, wiggle the connections until you find the culprit.

Did you hook it with HDMI or analog? My plasma was on the fritz but when i hooked it up analog it worked..ugly though compared to 1080P. Try a different HDMI cord as well

The PS3 backround screen changes each month, you can select a different color by going into your system settings. Options > Theme settings > Colour

The yellow light is caused by the PS3 console overheating.
Over time and many thermal cycles one of the connections to the two major chips on the PS3 motherboards will break ( cold solder joint ).

that happened to me 2.i tuenred it off let it cool down then i got a black screen .i fixed the ribbon problem by replacing my hardrive.see if it works

Your HDD is corrupt, you will need to use restore from the recovery menu.

On the XMB go to Settings ---> BD/DVD Settings ---> BD 1080p 24 Hz Output (HDMI)

Give that a shot, and if not poke around a bit and ultimately you could do a system restore as well. Not sure if those will solve your problem, but it's a good place to start.

check that you have all avalubal resulutions sulected in your displt settings i.e. 480p 720p 1080i and 1080p all the ones your tv will support my ps3 was doing the same thing untell i checked 480p as well as 720p and 1080i now when I play a dvd my tv swiches to 480p and the dvd will play.
