Most likely failed capacitors in the power supply. I am currently having the same problem with my 26 month old LN46A750. Samsung has agreed to fix this as an out of warranty "courtesy repair".

samsung will fix it free of charge .i had the same fault with mine it is 3-4 years old .phoned samsung and they fixed it for free

It sounds like the power supply board has some bad capacitors that need to be replaced. Samsung is covering the cost to repair this problem on some models. You can call 1-800-samsung to find out if your unit is covered.

Tries unplug,replug,same prob.ur power supply board it dead.

Most likely bad capacitors in the power supply.
Samsung LCD units have the power board in the middle of unit. You might see 2 or 3 electrolytic capacitors bulged at the top where it should be flat.

what the full model number of your tv?
the clicking sound is the result of a faulty power supply, some capacitors(blown heads) on the power supply for the output voltage rail of the mains board need to be replaced.

On my samsung flat screen tv when you are watching the televison there is no red light on the power button but when you turn the television off the red light stays on all the time? what can I do to turn this light off?
