Samsung LCD tv wont turn on

My Samsund LCD tv, Version SP01, wont turn on. The red light flashes and makes a clicking sound, but no picture or sound appear.

my Samsung TOC 52 inch LCD started doing this 2 days ago.....fiddled with the remote power button"on-off-on-off"... got it to work a couple of times ....now nothing but clicking and the flashing red light. Repairman coming tuesday..holla back with the solution

What the full model number of your tv?
the clicking sound is the result of a faulty power supply, some capacitors(blown heads) on the power supply for the output voltage rail of the mains board need to be replaced.

My Samsung TOC 52 LCD LN52A650A was repaired yesterday by BestBuy, it had 2 blown capacitors in the power supplys.

My Samsung TV won't turn on

Please describe the problem more accurately. Flashing red usually means 'stand-by' state, flashing blue/green - starting up. When (during that) do you have a sound? Are there any 'high voltage' sounds like soft screeching from the screen? Is it LCD or LED?

Picture won't come on

Most likely failed capacitors in the power supply. I am currently having the same problem with my 26 month old LN46A750. Samsung has agreed to fix this as an out of warranty "courtesy repair".
