Reset the parental code on my psp - Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) Console

Go to parental controls in system settings.
When it asks 'Change Parental Controls settings?' tap yes.
When it brings up a numeric keypad, tap the center button, "I Forgot".
Next, tap "I Forgot" again. Now you will be shown a screen with a number at the bottom (the 'inquiry number').
Go to: http://wii.marcansoft.com/parental.psp
Enter the 'inquiry number' number in the field marked confirmation number. Set the current date in your timezone and click get reset code. And Voila! Your DSi is now parental control free!

If you have the confirmation code, go to this website: wii.marcansoft.com/parental.psp?number=02221258&date=1008&submit=Get+Reset+Code (just copy and paste the url in the address bar of your browser) and enter your confirmation code. It will give you a key to undo the parental controls. Hope this helps!

In your console enter to the parental control menu and try to change it, when asking for password then:

1. Click "I forgot" twice.

2. Go to http://wii.marcansoft.com/parental.psp

3. Copy the inquiry code where it says "Confirmation Number:".

4. Select your "Current Date in your timezone:"

5. Push the "Get Reset Code" button and get your master code.

6. Try to change again the parental control and use the code provided, the code should work as I tested it many times.

NOTE1: the code generated in this page work as well for Wii and DSi consoles.

NOTE2: If it doesn't work the first time, try going to http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/ . Change the time/date on your DSI to match that of Tokyo, London, some other location etc and then try again.

If you click forgot pin you should have a secret question setup. If you cant answer this. Click i forgot twice and it will give you a confirmation number. Enter your confirmation number here:

go into parental controls and it will ask for a code, put in the wrong one, then choose dont remeber for the next 2 options it gives you. you should now get a confirmation number.

Here is the procedure to reset the parental lock code. It's important to note that this RESETS the parental lock. This is not a master password or anything to that extent.

Bring up a screen where the unit asks you to enter in the parental code. You can either insert a restricted disc, or enter the DVD setup menu and go to "parental control" under custom setup.

When the screen asks for the code, press the SELECT button, then enter in the code "7444".

The level adjustment under Parental Control dictates the strictness of the player. The lower the value, the more strict it will be. Either increase the value to lower the restriction, or disable the lock entirely by setting it to "off".

Once you have made your adjustments, be sure that the DVD tray is empty, and press the RESET button on the front of the Playstation 2. It is imperative the tray is clear of any DVD or game for the unit to save your settings.

go to secruity setings and click parental control type in your password and click off
