2blink-then 4 blink---------vertical circuit problem


This is a general answer based on error code--problem in vertical circuit then the first thing is to look for ANY signs of Glycol having leaked from one of the picture tubes onto that area of the board.

If you do not know how or what to look for let me know and I will explain.

Vertical circuit deflects picture from middle to top and middle to bottom of screen; if set detects that it shuts set off instantly to prevent a instant BURN MARK from happening on all three tubes this set uses--prevent permanent damage to the screens of the tubes.

When a Microsoft Xbox 360 console experiences a "general hardware" failure or "core digital" failure, three flashing red lights appear (known as the "Red Ring of Death") around the power button, in lieu of the four green lights indicating normal operation. Warning signs may include freeze-ups, in which the screen has strange, spontaneous graphical problems in the middle of gameplay, such as checkerboard or pinstripe patterns on the screen, the sound is frozen and changed to a strange, static-like sound, and the console only responds to pressing the power button to turn it off. These events may happen once or several times until the general hardware failure occurs, when the user attempts to turn the console on, and the three red lights are seen and the console will not function.

this sounds like it will error e74 which will need a reflow
but dont overheat with a towel as this will cause more problems

I have to be honest with you, I suspect the marks are burns on the three picture tubes and permanent.

A simple way to prove this that requires no technical knowledge:

Remove the back cover and locate the three large lens (red, green and blue tubes) and with the set on cover each lens one at a time; if a mark vanishes that tube is burnt in the middle.

If you have three dots or tear shaped marks the set arced and burnt a small area of each picture tube's screen.

These tubes are about 4x5 inches at the screen and are like a regular tv screen; there is a phospher coating and if the set arcs it will burn the coating away in the middle of the screen on each tube.

Confirm this and if true two things would have to happen: replace all three tubes (not worthwhile) and find what caused the arc.

i have riffile my smasung ml-1640 printer cartage three time then it show red light but printer works ok, after 2100 pages printed its not working properly, when i give command to print any file no error show,but print not come. and when i print a test page from printer button it gives print. but on paper write like this toner exhoasted so what i do for this problem please give me soltuion of this problem

Your switch is under the lens on the right hans\d side when looking from the front of the camera . It has three positions :
Camera (on position for recording), off(in the middle), and play(on position for playing back your tapes)

the 3 red rings are the worst and there is no way to fix it, i tried wrapping a towel around it and leaving it for an hour or so and that worked for me... the is a good old xbox remidee, but if that dosnt work then call the hot line and you will have to send it off.. the usually have it back in about a week

Hi, on the 2030 model there are three Application buttons on the right Left button = email, middle = internet, right = WLAN. It may be the same on yours.

just switch it off and swith it on
