You would have to contact MicroSoft and pay for a new license( usually at full price) or go to your local WalMart and purchase a new copy of Win XP Upgrade. The new disc from WalMart should come with the newest service pack (3) which will save a ton of time and your gauranteed Genuine Windows.

Cant load even service pack 1

Go to windows update, " type " windows agent and click search, it will be slow to respond, when page changes scroll down and click on windows agent, wait till it loads page then scroll down until you see the download, top is for 32 bit, second one for a 64 bit computer and click, follow the prompt, this will update your registry, it may take several minutes for the window update symbol to appear, put your windows XP in the DVD driver, when windows opens close it. the disc will start when update begin, leave disc in until all updates are complete, check windows update to make you have all updates.

My windows xp every days comment me u must active ur window 25 digit product key ( left two days )

Your Windows XP is not activated. This means you must find your original Windows XP disc, and the sleeve that the disc comes in should have the product key on the back.
Type in this product key to activate Windows.

I dont have code28

Microsoft Help and Support says that "Code 28 (The drivers for this device are not installed)" appears when the Windows Sound System Compatible Driver for the Windows 2000 operating system is deleted upon the upgrade to Windows XP. It's possible to repair this code.

Instructions

1 Click on "Start."

2 On the "Start" menu, click on "Control Panel."

3 In the "Control Panel" folder, click on "Performance and Maintenance."

4 Click on the "System" folder in the "Performance and Maintenance" folder.

5 Click on the tab titled "Hardware."

6 Click on the box that says "Device Manager."

7 Click on "Sound, Video, and Game Controllers."

8 Right-click on the device that prompts Windows XP to display Code 28 (it should be Windows Sound System Compatible Driver, also called the WDM driver). A drop-down menu will appear.

9 Click on "Update" and an Update Wizard will guide you through the installation of a new device driver, which should stop Code 28 from appearing on Windows XP.

Wat is een recovery cd?

a recovery disc makes a copy of your computer as it is now so if a virus hits or your HDD fails you can reinstall your comp back to the point where you made the disc so you dont have to install all your programs and updates again

My laptop has an old version of windows xp.. how can i upgrade it into a new version of windows?

You should enable automatic updates, this should download all updates to windows xp up to service pack 3 and all security updates. If you wan't another version of windows (vista or windows 7) you must buy and upgrade retail disc.

I installed windows xp in my pc and when i plyaed a song in windows media player an error occured saying audio driver not installed . i am having intel pantium 3 celerone processor . i bought t in year...

If you've installed XP from a Windows disc not dedicated to your PC, (not a recovery disc), then it probably is lacking certain drivers specific to your computer. It's a very old computer, drivers are likely missing from your install.

In your Start menu search type "Device Manager". Open DM and click the + next to "Sound, video and game controllers". You might see a 743baf5.gif next to your soundcard. Double click your soundcard and note "Device status" under "General" tab. Got to "Driver" tab and click "Update Driver..." If it says you have the best driver installed, uninstall the driver from there, and try "Update Driver..." again.

Samsung SH-S202N CD DVD burner

I have the same Samsung Multi DVD Recorder as it calls itself and it works OK with XP for me. You probably need to install the Nero software that came with it as it normally contain the hardware drivers that are needed. Sorry if I'm too late with this reply but I only just came across your post.
