you have 2 speakers. 1 ear speaker for calls and 2nd one for ringer, MP3, loudspeaker etc. Make sure your ear speaker volume is all the way up, nothing in the way ( dirt - make up - metal shavings etc ). If all is good have your ear speaker replaced.
I found my owners manual and to adjust the ringer on either the Base Station or Hand Set as follows:
with the hand set in place just use the base arrow up or down to go from 0 (off) to 2 (loud) and on the hand set just use the arrows for high low or off. Just bew sure to have the hand set on the base before adjusting the ringer
loudness control - press hands-free once, and then VOL button to select the loudness level from hi to lo then press the hands free to confirm setting. press VOL button to exit and to return to the main display screen. I know there is no switch to turn the ringer off. I tried that my self. this is the only setting they do have a far as I know. good luck - Sherry
Where you check for your caller ID if you push the up button, you should be able to turn the volume up and down which will make the ringer louder or softer. And God Bless you and your husband. Hope all is well
To turn your ringer back on, you do the following. For your handset, you push Menu, scroll to ringer settings, then push select, Press select again for ringer volume, then scroll up to turn on and increase the ringer volume. Then press Save once its at the desired volume. To change your base ringer, while it is not in use, push the ringer up button until you hear the desired setting. That should fix your problems.
