Check the convergence IC's for cold solders, check for leaking capacitors in the area. Check the voltage regulator with a Variac.
Usually these sets just need the 2 big convergence IC's replaced with new ones. Clean all 3 picture tube lenses, mirror and screen. Get the original RCA remote that came with the set and MANUALLY align the convergence.
Rarely the bow on the bottom of the screen is not repairable.
The number you listed is not the model number of an RCA TV. Using the correct number you can get a service manual at http://www.servicemanuls.net or http://www.retrevo.com . Let me know if you need more help. Thanks for using FixYa and for the generous rating.
look the model number of tv at the back, find the power sensor by model number at: futureshop.partsearch.com, pacparts.com or other place and replace it; or disassemble tv and try to fix it manually: clean contacts with spirit, re solder it's pins on the board. As pressure applied pins get loose with time.
Whatever you do you are better off to leave it alone or change coolant fluid in Tube its a Job doing it and you risk breaking Tube $450.00 unless you see the bugs in picture who cares.
Dir TV projection Techcions, I own RCA Model:P52937 Chassis No.PTK195M26B. After a big flood here in Chicago, my basement got flooded and my projection TV was in water up to 1 foot. Befor I turned it on, I dreid it out perfectly, then, I turned it on, and a couple components from the power supply got burned up to the point where I am not able to read the part numbers that are on it. I was wondering if you have this kind of chassis and model service manual for this projection TV, or conponet part number i location 101 on mother boatd power supply. Thank you in advance, Darius
