Web cam problem

First uninstall old driver from lkaptop then downlkaod new driver from this link .
Then install in laptop.
Then its works fine .

hey hi ...i have Acer aspire one model no. ZG5 showing problem in its web cam.. couple of days before it was working perfectly alright.. then unfortunately i deleted my audio driver some how and after that i put the CD n recovered my system since this system recovery my web cam is not working.. i have linux fedora installed in my laptop..[by the way i m new user of linux so dont know its features and options rightly] its messenger is not showing me my web cam option on a chat window.. please help me.. it seems to me that there is some driver missing or may be web cam is disable.. but m fail to find the problem... kindly help me..

I had the same problem too and tried all kinda solution I cud find on the net for ages... The solution is simple...but windows dont give the exact problem description.
Infact...in Device manager, u miss a category called "Imaging device".To get that section back and put ur cam to work download the file "sti_ci.dll" from here.
Extract it, and copy the file to "C:\Windows\System32\" folder and connect back ur cam.Yo get get windows saying device is installed and ready to use. That worked for me. If it worked for u, please post it on other forms to help people who r still trying to look for a solution.

hi you need to restore your laptop to its factory defaults it will replace all missing drivers for your webcam, find how to do it in your manual. hope this helps

You have to have the program/Application, to launch the web-cam.

Go To The Manufacturers website, to download and Install The Web-Cam Applet.

Or check to see if it,s device/Driver is missing or Corrupt. ( My Computer/Control Panel/System/Device Manager ) Any Yellow Marks ?

first, u need uninstall the old webcam driver. after u finish uninstall the driver, restart your computer and then intall new webcam driver

Try to locate the camera driver and do a update also might be a fix download for the Crystal Eye Cam through Acer Or another download site. Another idea would be to get a driver Program which checks all your drivers on the main items like keyboard, web cam , mouse, monitor, graphics the one i use is DriverDetective works great!
