How do i set up my LG43uh620v smart 4ktv for sattelite reception.i have a sattelite dish ariel plugged in?

Easiest way would be use the HDMI output from your Satellite Receiver box to your new TV. If you don't have a Satellite Receiver box at that location, you'll need to get one from your service provider.

Your TV will not interface directly with the dish - you need the equivalent of a cable box to decode the signals from the dish, select channels, etc.

Wil my tv work with out remote

There are quite a few ways to connect cable box, DVD, receiver and TV together. At a minimum---Connections between DVD and a/v receiver: For Audio, either digital coaxial, digital optical or simple RCA (CABLE ONE); If you did not use RCA you need to connect Video with either component or s-video (CABLE TWO). For connection between a/v receiver and TV: either component, s-video or RCA (CABLE THREE) You did not mention how your cable (or sattelite) box is connected. You could use same set-up as between DVD and a/v receiver for another one or two cables depending on set-up used.connecting the speaker wires of an RCA TV to an amplifier: The signal that is fed to the speakers is not designed to be fed to the line-level inputs of your amplifier. You'd need some kind of conversion and I can't tell you exactly what that would be.

Get some double-screened satellite cable and fit a female TV plug to it (or a male plug with an adapter). Connect it to RF Output 2 at the rear of your Digibox. Fit a TV plug to the other end and plug it into your TV.

Temporarily disconnect the aerial feed from the Digibox aerial socket. Switch the Digibox on to get a picture on your main TV. The Sky Digibox normally sends its signal out on UHF channel 68 so go to the second TV and tune it to 68 (or tune it till it finds the Sky picture).

Now plug the aerial cable back into the Digibox. If there is now interference on the Sky picture on the second TV (or on the terrestrial channels) your Sky signal on 68 is causing interference. Press [services] 401 [select]* and set the RF output to a different UHF channel number. You need to connect it via a Scart lead on your main TV in order to see the menu.

*In the new EPG (April 2009) it's [services] 001 [select]

Try each RF output channel number in turn (21 - 69) and retune the second TV until you get clean pictures on the terrestrial channels and the Sky channel. Also check the picture from the VCR (if connected).

This is just a brief overview. If you need a real in-depth explanation you should read the "Piping TV Around the House" Ebook by satcure.

My sky is not working it just says no sattelite signal is being recieved.

hi this could be a number of issues ,lets start firstly have you checked all connections goin to and from receiver to lnb on dish ,,,? secondly iff you have a sat finder connect this at lnb and connect other to receiver ,it will be clearly marked where to connect the coax too.if you dont understand how to i recomend you get someone thats quilified at this type of work ,the other solution is that your lnb could be blown or faulty this can happen after years of use .hope you get it sorted goodluck

Can record Sky programmes but not view live.

You must connect up the TV to the SKY box, via Audio Visual cables too, in order to watch, recorded programs. You need to hook, up, Component, HDMI, or Composite, You select it by an EXTERNAL channel.
Connect the cable running from the wall into the "In" port on the Sky Box HD receiver. This cable brings in the signal to your receiver. Make sure the cable is securely fastened to the receiver, otherwise you might experience image and audio issues.
Attach an HDMI cable into the HDMI port on the Sky Box HDTV receiver. The HDMI is a single cable that provides both HD audio and video signals.
Plug the other end of the HDMI cable into an available HDMI port on the HDTV.
Power on the HDTV and the Sky Box HDTV receiver. Press the "HDMI" button on the TV's remote control. This will display the cable contents of the HD receiver onto the television.

NO GPS RECEPTION

Make sure you are not under any structure such as a car port that will block the signal. The unit must be able to see the sky to receive signals

Wired my surroundsound with scart to my sky box but only left & right speaker with sound

scart can only support 1x video signal and 1x L and 1x R in one direction
if you have a scart cable with more than 3 cinch connectors then you have one for two way, but you want to send 5 audio and 1 video channel one way from sky box to your receiver.

looking at the spec, your receiver does support a digital coaxial connection ( cinch orange) and a digital fibre connection
it also supports composite 5.1 analogue connection which is where are most likely already connected.
it does not seem to be a HDMI device.
if your sky box also has digital coax or fibre I recommend using one of these
alteratively if you wish to use analogue input on your receiver then ensure your topbox has corresponding 5.1 cinch connectors.
usually labelled (center, front, surround and possible also subwoofer)

if your receiver can generate 5.1 from 2.0 stereo (dolby pro-logic II) then ensure this setting is selected on your receiver.

not knowing what your sky box details are I can not say what is the best option. also check that your sky box is sending 5.1 signal out as some programmes may only be being sent in stereo so prologic will have to be activated to generate 5.1 from stereo.

I have obtained a pace TDS470N sky satelite

If the sky box is connected to a working telephone line then you can press the following buttons on the remote to pair the card up with the box.

Services.
4
0,1, Select,
6 (new installation)

Press the SELECT button on the remote when prompted. This will start with a channel scan then it will ask you to press Select and then it will do a CALL BACK. This will try and pair the card with the box. If this fails try a couple more times if still no joy then you will have to call the sky call centre and get them to send the signals and get this pair up for you.

I've notice that your user name is JIM SPAIN if you are in spain with a Sky Satellite receiver. What you will have to do rather then the above. Is get the person who is registered with the box back in the uk to call Sky call centre and when you get through to the technical department. (normally india) you would have to provide them with: address in the uk, and some other details then they can send the signal to the box along with the viewing card number that way they will not know that you have taken the box out of the country.

Hope this helps Jim.
If it has helped clarify things please leave a thumbs up

Cheers
