you are suggested to check if your bettery is not have got expired. please try changing bettery.Some times betteries get blow up by over charging.hope it will work

Read camera manual. Generally battery position is near click button or memory card slot.
From your problem description it seems that eighter your bettery is spoiled or it is fully charged and having power supply problem or not properly installed.
Ensure that if your battery is new and the + and - terminals of battery is exactly as per your camera connecting terminals. Sometimes people insert batteries with opposite termnals which does not woerk.
