Did you try these? 10093, 10864, 11944 and 0456?

If you have cable or satelite hooked up to it now and it works,Then it is digital ready.

Hopefully you still have under warrantee. If not, sorry. This line if memory serves me right is because the tv has 2 picture panels on each side of the TV (they join up together to make one picture). Toshiba did not realize that the panels will start slipping thus creating this fine line from the top of the screen to the bottom. They have revamped the newer models and placed glass to adhere the panels together. Even though my TV was under warrantee I got a new one and have had this one for 1/2 year and now the picture just blew (there is sound but no picture.)
Take your TV back if it is under warrantee.

the vcr tape mechanism may not be all the way up or the tape sensors need to be cleaned or replaced
you can test for voltage on the sensors and test each sensor for an open

all cable networks have a manual that shows how to us the R/C [remote control] to SCAN ALL model #s of tvs for all the codes. If you don't have the manual, call Comsast Cable & they should be able to help you.
Note: sometimes a cable network cannot control all TV's R/C because some companies BUY off excess tvs and place their name on the brand.You could be buying Zenith, Sony, RCA !! guts with E.I. "superscan" brand on it.
P.S. sometimes the code is just enought to turn the tv on, raise\lower volume.

at the vertical stage of the tv there is a capacitor that is weaken and need to be replaced.

do this by testing all the capacitors on that stage.isolate it and replace it with the same type

I have the same problem with my panasonic plasma..I can clearly see 2 side bars when the Tv is off..the left one is more obvious to see..When I watch a movie at night I can't see it. I have no idea how it did happen but I talked to circuit city and they are willing to replace it since it is still under a month..it is anoying though to have to deal with such problems. I bought my TV june 21st.

The comcast remote control code for Superscan VCR/DVD combo is 11963

you must opend the set to remove manualy the cd, the mecanims coul be staket, or a damage driver circuit is causing the problem, I has found both in the past, any how dont doit your self if you dont know about tvs, there are verry dangerous parts in tv circuit, get a tech....good luck
