Philips 32pfl4909/f7 keeps turn off after about 5 sec

SOURCE: TV turns itself off after a few seconds, no picture at all

Sounds like the typical Flyback and shorted horizontal output transistor. Problem is the transformer is NO Longer Available

SOURCE: No picture, hear sound, television will shut off after a few seconds.

Take out the bulb (back left hatch door) look to see if the element inside the bulb is broken or blackened - (replace bulb) if the bulb looks OK then it's the ballast that fires the bulb (service call).

SOURCE: Turn on power, but no picture, when you turn off power see picture for a few seconds before tv shuts off

Even, I have the same problem...looking for a help on internet but not finding any...if you know...please post on this site.

There is probably a firmware update on the LG website that should take care of this.Go to the downloads area and enter the model number for available updates.

SOURCE: 47" Philips LCD TV will not stay on and show a picture.

Your mainboard needs to be replaced.

You can get one on ebay and replace it or get someone who can do that for you.

if you still have guarantee, it is covered, if not you will need to buy it.
