Philips tv Model no 55PFL5402/F7 , picture is good everything works good, but sound, it will come on when tv is turned on, then maybe around 30 seconds or so it will stop, picture still good, then 5 minutes or so it will come on for maybe 10 to 30 seconds or so, then goes out again, this just continues as long as tv is on, picture always stays on all channels work just no sound. I have changed cable box all cables, reset tv to factory settings, still the same. Have hooked different tv to same line , it works good.
Try changing input or source then audio settings
It was the speakers, I changed speakers , problem went away, sound better then ever

Chances are your main board is defective and needs replacing
Thanks Larry, installed new main board , no change, tv still has same problem, what else you think it could be.
3 things could cause sound issues, bad power supply, main board or speakers, speakers are never intermittent they're like a light bulb either work or don't so that can be ruled out, most sound issues (90%) approximately are main issues, power supply is only other issue other than cabling, try moving around the connectors once the sound is out and see if that makes any difference, but I don't think it will.
One other thing to check, does the sound bar on the screen stay up when it loses sound, I'm sure it will but check it, if that was the issue, I would have thought a replacement main would have fixed your issue.
sound bar on screen still there when sound goes out, also just plugged a set of my computer speakers into head phone plug , they are working, sound from them is not going in and out, getting good sound
It was the speakers, not the connections from the main board, but internal speaker wire itself, must be bad connections on on speakers, just by touching face of speaker fabric where wire is attached, speaker starts working, maybe loosened up from speaker vibration ? Thanks Larry, after reading your last post, I once again checked all connections, all were tight but then I pulled a speaker out, still connected and turned it upside down to check the face to make sure it was not broke or tore, it started to work, turned it back it stopped, just touched it with my finger it started, put it back in tv touched the face it worked, reached over and touched face of other speaker it worked. took a very small screw driver moved the wire in the speaker just a little on both speakers, both started working. but going to find a new set of speakers, these will most likely lose connection again. Thanks
You're welcome! I can't remember the last time I found both speakers bad or intermittent, I would guess it was something not done correctly in the manufacturing process since both act the same way, glad you got it figured out
