I assume you have a digital antenna. You need to check your input setting in the menu should be set to cable not HDMI. Do a channel search and you should get what's out therr
i think in your TV...... design ..... is such that once channels are autostored it cannot be retuned ..... so you try this ...... it may work ......... disconnect tv antenna cable ( or local tv channels cable ) from your TV & then click autostoring (auto tunning ) ..... definitely it will scans (search for channels ) ..... but since no cable is connected no channels will get stored ...... but previously autostored channels will get removed ...... so now again connect your antenna cable or local tv cable & then click autostore ...... it will scan for channels .... like this you can retune ....... but remember again you may get same quality of picture which you got earlier ..... if you want better quality of picture you have to use signal amplifier (increases cables signal's strength - then picture quality improves ) .....
There are no analog channels anymore as far as I know, if you mean the channels that are local and provide an off the air signals, you need to connect an antenna for off the air signals, it may be possible that at your father's place the off the air signal was strong enough to receive them. Try going in to the menu signal type select "Air" to see if that makes a difference, of-course you will lose the cable channels until switch back to "Cable" .Hope this helps, KA
If you just have over-the-air signals from local broadcast stations, you need a good VHF/UHF antenna connected to the RF input jack on the TV in order to get reception. If you have access to cable TV or satellite, you need to connect the box or receiver set-top-box to the TV using a HDMI cable. You need to select on the TV using the remote, (press the MENU button) setup for tuning channels. Do a scan after setting to AIR or CABLE so the TV picks up all available channels you can get. Once this is done you can change channels and see TV. If you reply back with specifics, I can help more...
Before scanning for channel, check to see if the Antenna input is set to Cable or Antenna. If you have rabbit ears or and outside antenna then set it to antenna. If you have cable then set it to cable. Then rescan for channels. If this has already been set then the next step is to check the antenna or cable feed.If possible plug the antenna or cable feed into another TV that is known to be working correctly. If it is capable of receiving digital channels then the problem is likely the Samsungs ATSC tuner and will require service. If neither TV is getting Digital channels then I will need more info on your antenna setup and where you are located. I am a pro on TV antennas and reception. Hope this helps Have a great Day
No. Sorry but your gonna need to get a pair of rabbit ear antenna. Hook it to where the cable was and do a channel search. It should find the available local stations for you. Good Luck
