Don't have cable anymore, now I don't have anything

I had my cable (comcast) disconnected. Now I can't get tv at all. Shouldn't I be able to at least get the local stations (like a rabit-ear tv)? I've tried going to the menu & putting it on "line" or on "air" but no combination seems to work. How do I re-set it? I've disconnected the cable line in the back so the set is only plugged in to power.

No. Sorry but your gonna need to get a pair of rabbit ear antenna. Hook it to where the cable was and do a channel search. It should find the available local stations for you. Good Luck

How do i connect my insignia dvd player to my comcast system?

Since we don't have many details, I will have to be vague in the repairs. If you call Comcast, they would be glad to assist in installation.

Here are the manuals:

The printer jammed, we removed a page stuck and now it asks us to restart the printer, however, we do and it does not correct the problem

Since your unit may just be 'remembering' the error caused by the paper-jam, try pulling the AC plug and disconnecting any path to the PC itself and letting it stew in its own juices overnight.
This will often clear a fault kept in memory if the fault has not caused any permanent damage.
Before reconnecting the AC, connect any interface cable between PC (don't chance plugging in anything with either powered up) and printer.By now 'hot-plugging' shouldn't cause any harm but my trust of designers has been blown over the years.

> I had comcast before but now i don't, don't use a converter box and somehow I was getting cinemax and other channels on the tv
Comcast was providing Cinemax and many other channels as part of your paid services and you will not receive these unless you are a subscriber. There is a good selection of free broadcast channels unless you live outside city areas. If you do, you will then need an external antenna and probably an amplifier to get more distant signals. Auto programming will not find the channels you were receiving from Comcast so there will be only accidental channel duplication; for example, if your former channel 10 was NBC, it may be channel 7 when receiving signal from an antenna.
There are essentially no more 'Analog' stations still broadcasting, they are now all 'Digital.' The abbreviations 'Std' refers to the aspect ratio (H/W) of the picture area and 'Hrc' and 'Irc' the available resolution or how many pixels and lines on the screen.
