Sounds like the switch is missing the mark behind it. Take the back cover off and see if the back of the push ON switch has been worked loose from pressing.

Hope this helps bud.

You have a power supply problem.
The microprocessor has its own supply and is not receiving a "hand shake" from the line output stage that in turn is not receiving and power from the power supply.
The chopper transistor will possibly be short circuit taking the feed resistor with it.
Check for dry joints everywhere and MAKE CERTAIN THE HT CAPACITOR HAS DISCHARGED!!!!!
Hope this helps.

Sanyo 31' tv

The main power supply, or the horizontal output stage may have failed. Sometimes when the horizontal output stage has failed parts, the power supply is also damaged.

An experienced tech should be able to troubleshoot your set for you and replace the defective parts.

No nothing

I am sure it can be repair,Checking the fuse was good idea but it seems the problem might be farther ahead,if you have no indication of power(no lights,no clicks)the problem might be in the power supply, there is a 5 volts supply that has to be running because is the power to the microprocessor(brain)and when you push the power button on the remote or the set the brain knows it and send the commands to everyone else to turn on,if you have the 5 volts and the brain is working the problem might be in the horizontal circuit ,possibly a bad horizontal output transistor(shorted)if he is bad it might have taken a fuse or a safety resitor. Some fuses dont look like the average fuse, they look more like resistors. If you are familiar with tv service We can give you all the help you need to find the problem ,if you are not too familiar with servicing electronics you might want to call servicer.Let Us know if you need more information.

Sanyo DS31520 went dead

If still under warranty or if you have no electronic repair experience you should take the set back to the shop or to a repair person. Some of the solutions described below can be dangerous, TV's are very hazardous to service. Even when plugged out, TV's can store very high voltages. Squealing noise is from the power supply teling you that there is an overload condiction. The overload is shifting the operational frequency of the power supply into upper audio hearing range. Check the diodes and caps in the supply circuit and the active components in the deflection circuit. also resolder the LOPT, h-output, h-driver, and h-driver transformer. Good luck
