No nothing Left the tv on for about 3hrs, came back to a quiet room. Hit the power button on remote-nothing. Hit the power button on the tv-nothing. I check the fuse on the circuit board still good. I really don't want to trash this set, can it be fixed?

JVC AV-27D201 won't turn on or do anything. There was a lightening storm and it went out. My answering machine did also, I know it had something to do with it. I don't really know what to check except what I have read on this about the power supply. Are there any other suggestions? I did want to say they have repair manual at repairmanuals.net that I bought for my convergence on my big screen and it saved me $460 compared to having them come out and fix it. I might do the same with this and figure it out.

I am sure it can be repair,Checking the fuse was good idea but it seems the problem might be farther ahead,if you have no indication of power(no lights,no clicks)the problem might be in the power supply, there is a 5 volts supply that has to be running because is the power to the microprocessor(brain)and when you push the power button on the remote or the set the brain knows it and send the commands to everyone else to turn on,if you have the 5 volts and the brain is working the problem might be in the horizontal circuit ,possibly a bad horizontal output transistor(shorted)if he is bad it might have taken a fuse or a safety resitor. Some fuses dont look like the average fuse, they look more like resistors. If you are familiar with tv service We can give you all the help you need to find the problem ,if you are not too familiar with servicing electronics you might want to call servicer.Let Us know if you need more information.

Reiker ''room conditioner'' heater stopped working

I've also had this problem. Solved it with the reset button on the back of the remote. It's under the battery cover, next to the dip switches.

Turn on the remote, with heat. Then, at the wall switch or circuit box turn off power. Wait a few minutes. Restore power and within 30 seconds with remote in range of fan hit the reset button. You should see a countdown from 5-0 on the remote screen.

I did this and the heat started working again.
