I have same problem with my LG flat panel lcd hd ready tv. I also noticed that when it is warm i dont have this problem but only on occasions when in my house is below 19 C, and it takes longer period to turn on if it is lower room temeprature.

Yes the repair will be more than the 19" LCD TV, most of the time the HDMI circuits is part of the main board which is basically the main part of the whole TV as you can see here:

Or www.digikey.com just make sure to use caps with low ESR, 105c, high ripple current, long life rating such as PANASONIC FM or FC series.

The main power transistor in the power supply appears to have failed. It has also blown the fuse. Not a job for the DIY'er unless you have serious electronics experience.

You can do it two ways, one, if you desktop has just VGA (blue,15 pin) connector, the other way, if your desktop has DVI out, then you will need DVI to HDMI cable.
